kaitlyn's radio station

The kids and I were sitting in Randi's new car tonight at Braum's while Randi ran in to get some milk.

So I decided to start flipping through the XM radio stations, since I have never really looked to see what all was there. First of all, I have to say that I am really amazed by all the different channels! There is just about anything you could ever want to listen to!

But then something funny started to happen. Kaitlyn would tell me to "go on" or "stop" as I got to different channels. For most of them, she would simply say "go on" after listing to it for just about a second or two.

Then we hit XM79. The name of the station is 'Met Opera Radio'! Kaitlyn said "stop!". So I tried to turn it to some other stations, and she started yelling at me, "stop, stop daddy! go back to the one before!". So I would turn it back to XM79 and she would just smile real big. I am not sure what Opera was playing, but I have to say it was beautiful. But nothing I thought she would actually sit and listen to.

Then she started making this movement with her arms. After staring at her a little bit, I realized she was playing the air-violin! She would just sit their sawing on that pretend violin, and she just had the biggest smile on her face! It was sooo cute!

I didn't think anyone would believe it, so I took a picture of it. haha..

This screen proves it - XM79 - Met Opera Radio

I asked her if she wanted to learn to play the violin and she said yes, so I guess we will see. But Randi and I have already been talking about looking around to see if we can find someone that gives piano lessons for her.

She said she really wants to learn it, but I think we would have to wait a year or two more before something like that. haha... Right now you can keep her interested in something for about 10 minutes, tops! haha...
