Man, that cold front today that blew through was nuts! I grabbed some shots and thought I would pass them along. The cool part about the photos is that several of the HUGE evergreen that is on its side is from OUR HOUSE! Talk about a shocker. To drive around your house and boom! There is a huge tree that is bent over your propane tank and taking up half the road! A bit of a shocker!
This is the Sinclair dinosaur at 10th & Mississippi in Ada. It is very heavy, but still tossed on its side!
The next grouping of photos are of the tree I mentioned above. If you have been to our house, you might remember it. It was on your right as you pulled in the drive.

so much for my directorship
Well, I was sort of hoping to be in line to be appointed the Director of Digital Design & Development (my department at work). Would have been a nice little pay raise not to mention it is a Gubanatorial Appointment which would have been a nice feather in the cap. But it just isn't in the cards for me, at least right now.
As of Monday, our entire department was migrated into another emerging department, Public Affairs. So I am the Web Development Manager within Public Affairs. A bit hurt at first, but after taking a couple days to take it all in, I think it will work out for the best. It will allow me to focus on Web stuff instead of Web, photography, budget, and everything else. Oh, that was the other change. My photography team was moved out from me and placed with Graphic Design. So needless to say I will still continue to be challenged, but I just won't be slammed every day.
Anyway, just thought I would pass that along.

something i have been forgetting
I knew that we had taken pictures Christmas morning, but I keep forgetting to put them out there. The CD with them has been in the diaper bag for a couple of weeks. Went through it this morning and bingo! There was the CD, so I have them out there now to look at. Enjoy!
been too long
Howdy everyone. Sorry for the long wait on new postings. It has been a bit busy around here. And by the way, Dylan says "hi!".
I finally got a new phone! I am so excited! Those of you that may know, my Razr V3xx I got like in October or November, well, it fell in the sink one morning and died. So I have been using one of Randi's old Nokia phones. But I finally am back to a Razr, so I am very happy!
Let's see, there has been so much going on. Randi and I were both sick for what seemed like forever. About two weeks probably. She still gets some chest congestion every once in a while, but not as bad. The kids though, somehow and KNOCK ON WOOD, haven't gotten sick.
My boss left and went back to Virginia, so I have been trying to learn the remaining ropes I hadn't had to climb yet. Needless to say, it kicked my butt. And still is. I am in the middle of trying to do a budget for the next three years, do the department strategic planning for the next 3 and 5 years, get a replacement hired for our programmer that quit (and fill in the programmer spot) and deal with all the "I wants..." and "I needs" that come along. I tell you what, it can drive you to drinking!
And on top of that, I started another semester at ECU. I thought I would be smart and take two online classes so I wouldn't have to leave work to go to class and go through the whole "mind changing" you have to do going back and forth. Well, that may have been a mistake. The marketing class I am in is beating me up pretty bad! I love to help my wife, and I strongly believe in the "partnership" of cleaning and baths and all around house chores. But I have found that by the time I try to do dinner, clean up the kitchen, give kids baths and get them to bed, it doesn't leave much time. Especially when you don't get home until 6pm. But luckily some of the stuff online isn't due until midnight on Saturdays, so that gives me a full day to work on stuff.
Randi is still rocking at her job. She actually got a call not too long ago from our pediatrician. They had a job spot come open and all the ladies thought that Randi would fit in perfectly. However it wasn't in the cards for us (at least it didn't offer the money to be in the cards for us at this time). haha...  But she really likes it where she is. The people are great, and some days she really gets to have fun. But most of all, then do respect her there. They know if someone can get things done, Randi can!
The kids are doing great. Kaitlyn is doing a little more talking back lately, but we are able to keep her in check. Dylan, well, he is just a different character. Kaitlyn is still bashful and quite for the most part. And then you got Dylan who flirts with the ladies and is loud and outgoing. It is really funny to watch them when we are out and about. Watching them at the house, I am thinking Kaitlyn will be either a dancer or singer. She loves any show on tv that people are dancing and singing, and she starts doing it with them. It is very cool! Then Dylan, well, I am thinking drummer. Anytime he hears music he starts clapping his hands or pounding a table or chair or anything he is near. Randi has a theory though. He has been laying on his back and scooting underneath of the big overstuffed ottoman we have. So she thinks he may just grow up to be a mechanic. Shoot, doesn't matter as long as they get to do what they want.
Well, I just finished chapter 2 in my marketing class and thought I would get a post done real quick, but I can hear work being done in the kitchen, so I better get off my rear. Hope everyone out there is good. Later!

happy new year!!
We hope that everyone had a great New Year's Eve and Day, both. We did pretty good around here. Randi is still down with a pretty bad head cold, but I was able to keep things rolling and the kids fed. haha...
This afternoon I decided it was maybe warm enough to take the kids for a ride in what Santa sent them for Christmas, a great big red wagon! I should have stepped out before I made that decision though, because it was VERY cold. But we went anyway. Click the thumbnail below to view the funny pics.

They really had fun anyway. Dylan just laughed and pointed at everything and Kaitlyn kept asking where we were.. haha... One thing was for sure, neither wanted it to end. But it had to because daddy was way to cold! haha..
