HAPPY ANNIVERSARY RANDI

Happy Anniversary baby!

That is correct folks.  After 8 years she still loves me! haha...  And I love her just as much as the day we got married.  This lovely woman has put up with more than her share of my crap, and amongst all that, she managed to turn out two pretty awesome kids.

Here is hoping for at least another awesome 8 years with you honey.  I love you so much!

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!!

And it is done

Well, went and got my car this afternoon.  And they did it, they managed to fit ALL the dang charges on that they could.  Even a listing for "Misc" for $10.00.  So I guess that is their way of getting their cake and eating it too.  So again, if you have a focus from 2000-2003, GET RID OF IT!

What really sucked is that my almost $440.00 repair came with nothing extra for my troubles.  When we take Randi's car in to get the freakin' oil changed at the Saturn dealership in OKC they give her a complimentary car wash and a complimentary bottle of water! haha...  It is a matter of principle!  After that much damn money, you would think they could vacuum the car or wash it or something.  Anyway, I am done with Fords now.  I really like the Saturn customer service, and from what I have dealt with them, Toyota is really good at customer service.  Who knows.  Ok, done for now.. haha..  Later!

And He Crawls...

That is right.  No more army crawling for Dylan.  He now gets right up on both hands and knees and takes off across the house.  And boy does he go!  It is almost hard to keep up with him!  Almost sad to think how fast he is growing up.

Car update

Well, even though there is a class action lawsuit against Ford for the ignition problem with the Focus cars, and there are sites posted all over the web about how many times this has happened (and happened again after being fixed), and Ford publishing a "bullitin" abaout the problem (but not a recall), they still claim I have to pay to have it fixed.  Well, I will be on the phone with Ford Customer Service Monday morning to see what they are going to do about it.  I really would rather not have to pay $400 (which is the quote I got from Ford this morning) to replace this thing over and over again.

So if you have a 2000 - 2003 Ford Focus, beware.  If you get from 40,000 - 60,000 miles out of our car without this problem, maybe you are the lucky one.  However, it appears that it won't happen that often.  They better watch out! haha..  They are making a web developer mad! lol!

Oh, and my Car....

Yea, my car is sitting Doc's BBQ Restaurant in Ada. It has this neat little issue that Randi found a web page on that explains this for me (so that worries me they have a page that covers this one issue!)

I put the key in the lock and you just can't turn it to start the car. I turn the wheel both ways, in gear, out of gear, clutch in, clutch out, put more pressure on one side of the wheel than the other, bounce up and down, rock back and forth, etc. You name it, Randi and I have tried it.

So Randi found this interesting site that says if you have a focus between 2000 and 2003, then this problem may happen. And it happens, on average, at around 54,000 miles. Well, my car is a 2003 Focus that is currently at 46,000 miles. From what we can understand , there is an ignition lock that sticks and then you can't start it. The page says that you can get a locksmith to fix it cheaper than Ford, but that you still expect to pay around $150 to $500 to fix it (especially since we are out of the warranty on it!) haha...

Anyway, just had to share that as well. Later.

Another One Bites the Dust

That is right, another week is finally over.  This has been a long week for all of us here.  Dylan is sick again.  It seems like we get him over something and BOOM, we are sick again.  This time it is a nice case of diarrhea!  And the doctor said "give it around 5-6 days and it will go away". Well, it has been a good 3 days and all we have seen so far is the mess he has made on his bed and himself two of those mornings.  That is a site to wake up to in the morning.

Kaitlyn has been doing really good.  She keeps getting better and better each day with her potty training.  She is really growing up to be a good little girl.  Now she still gets that attitude at times, but she is really a good little girl.  She had a fun time with her Mamaw and Papaw at the lake in Ardmore.  It was so fun that she really didn't want to come come.

Rand was really busy this week as well, trying to take care of some new reports and job tracking that her boss has been wanting to see.  And not to mention the AWESOME job she does taking care of the kids (she is an AWESOME mother)!

I have been busy trying to get one of my major projects wrapped that I have been working on for about 6 months (should have only taken 2 months) - good ol' government red-tape.  My deadline on this project, which is getting our digital asset management system installed for our entire division and handling the process writing and training.  This is all due August 3rd.  My next big project is programming some .net apps for GIS mapping that the Nation is starting to use.  This project is something a bit similar to Google maps capabilities, but multiplied by about 15!  You are able to store all sorts of info with each parcel of land or locations or buildings.  You are able to zoom in and out of the Nation boundaries, view the satellite image, and when selecting a specific facility (depending on the level of access) you can see all sorts of info about it.  From square footage to when it was built, who built it, costs, number of rooms or seats or whatever it may have in it.  It is really neat!  However, it will only be internal to the tribe for the first year or so.  Then after that we will role it out to the general public.

Anyway, just a quick family update.  Also I have put new pictures on my Jmo's Mobile Blog, so be sure to check those out (I love my camera phone!)

Dylan was actually laughing the entire time!

Whirlwind Weekend!

Well, it was a bit of a hectic weekend, but still fun!

We started out with heading to Stillwater on Saturday morning to visit with my family and to attend the birthday party of my nephew Andrew.  HAPPY BIRTHDAY AGAIN!  We had a really good time.  The party was at a place called Swicks there in Stillwater.  They have a TON of old arcade games like the original Donkey Kong, Centipede, and Ms. Pacman, as well as a pool table, air hockey table, some old pinball machines and an Ice Ball game.  Their big deal (to us adults) was the black light mini golf.  That was fun!

But the restuarant gathers all the kids that are at the party and take them back in the kitchen to walk them through making their own pizzas that they will then eat after they are cooked.  So it is a really neat setup.  After the good pizza, cake and drinks, us adults headed over to the mini golf.  That deal was pretty cool.  And your's truly almost won, but I lost by 1 point on the second round.  My younger brother Jake took the trophy!

Then we got around Sunday morning and headed to Lake Murray in Ardmore.  Randi's folks have been camping down there for about a week, and are planning to stay one more.  So they wanted to keep Kaitlyn down there for a couple nights.  We got to sit around and visit a bit, then gave Kaitlyn hugs and kisses and then we took off to our next stop.  Good ol' Wal-Mart.  We decided to save time by just grocery shopping in Ardmore instead of coming home and then heading back to Ada to shop.  So we did all that and now we are home finally.  Randi is doing some cooking, Dylan is chattering up a storm and I am on the computer.  All is back to normal! haha...

PS:  Be sure to check out my mobile blog (link is in the right-hand navigation).  I took some photos during the weekend and they are posted there.

Dylan and Papaw

We took Kaitlyn down to Lake Murray in Ardmore to stay a couple nights with her Mamaw and Papaw. Kaitlyn was busy running back and forth playing with the kittens through their fence. I thought this was a neat looking pose of Dylan and Papaw, so I grabbed it.

Healthy boy

Mr crazy hair

One gets healthy and the other gets sick!

Well, we have Dylan all back to healthy.  And now Kaitlyn is sick.  She has been running a fever for a couple days.  So if this is timed just like what Dylan had, then by sometime Saturday this will all pass.

Hopefully this will be it for a little bit.  To many missed days for everyone!

Big girl Kaitlyn

Well, it is finally that time. Kaitlyn is currently undergoing her very first hair cut. Her mamaw has cut her bangs in the past, but Randi is taking her to get a real hair cut, right as we speak (1:10pm). So I should have some photos to post later this evening from their adventure.

That is all for now.

UPDATE (1:34pm): Vicki just stopped by with Kaitlyn so I could see her haircut, and they did a good job. Randi said that she didn't cry or anyting and setup nice and still for them. And when they were done she told the lady "thank you". Ah, my little girl is growing up! haha.. I will get a photo or two up when I get home today. Later!

UPDATE (11:00pm): As promised, here are a few pics that Randi grabbed with her phone while Kaitlyn was getting her haircut.

I think those are in progression. So the first is before and so on.

Dylan update

Just wanted to update everyone on Dylan.  Yesterday afternoon his fever finally went down and he started acting like he felt a lot better.  So hopefully he is about back to normal.  Though for some reason he didn't sleep worth a darn last night though.  But at least we don't have to worry about him burning up anymore! haha..

Little sick Dylan

Well, it was a long evening tonight.  We took Dylan to the E.R. tonight about 8:30.  He has been running a fever since Thursday night and it just goes down (but never to normal) and then spikes back up.  And today he just looked rough all day.  When you looked at his face and eyes, he just looked like he hurt.

So we took him to the E.R. to see if there was anything they could do for him.  Well, all we were able to find out is that he has a virul infection and we just have to let it run it's course.  Which in a way we kind of knew... haha...

Anyway, hopefully this will run itself out soon.  Then we just have to hope that Kaitlyn doesn't come down with it.

Anyway, just wanted to let everyone know.  Later!

NEW TOOL ANNOUNCEMENT

I wanted to let everyone know that I have my new mobile blog up and running finally.  The address is:  http://jmomobile.blogspot.com.  It isn't that big of a deal, but I thought I would pass that along.  It is also linked in to the left under the Pages section.  It is labeled Jmo's Mobile Blog.  That is my nickname at work.  Someone tossed it out one day during a meeting and it just stuck.  Wierd, I know.

So be sure to keep an eye on that site.  I can take photos and just send them on my phone and it is pretty cool.  So I will probably use it a lot.  I put a bunch from the deal we went to today also.  Later everyone!

Happy 4th of July!

Happy Independence Day!

We spent the majority of the day at the home of a friend of Randi's family. There was lots of good BBQ and of course some really good deserts! haha..

I hope that everyone had a good day, and have a good night in the works. We will be heading over to Davis later this evening to watch their firework show. For a small town, it is really good. Plus we won't have to fight the traffic of Ada's. It gets pretty rough some times.

Anyway, happy 4th everyone!
