Dylan's 2 month update

IMG_4541_1.jpgIMG_4563_1.jpgGood evening everyone. Well, I just got my work stuff done for the night, so I thought I would post an update for everyone. And since Dylan went to the doctor this morning for his 2 month checkup, I thought that would be the perfect topic!

So here is what we got from the doctor. As of today, Dylan now weighs 11 lbs, 13.5 oz. And has grown to 22.75" long! So he is just a growing and a growing!

This is just too awesome!

This was so funny I have to post this real quick.

Kaitlyn was sitting in Dylan's swing tonight, just singing away to herself. So I told her "Kaitlyn, get up and go do dishes." Well, I sat here a little bit, and she was out of my line of site, so I thought she was just sitting there being quite.

Well, shortly after Randi and I hear a clanking sound from the kitchen.  GET THIS!!

Kaitlyn went into the kitchen, pulled the chair on wheels over to the kitchen sink and was messing with the dishes.  We went in there and said "Kaitlyn Brooke! What are you doing!?" and she just looked at us and said "Kaitlyn wash dishes".  haha!!

So I let her help me by rinsing off Dylan's bottles and Randi's pump stuff.  Honestly, she was just enjoying scooping up bubbles on my side of the sink and then rinsing them off on her side.  But she did actually rinse off all the stuff I gave her to rinse!  She is such a good little girl!

Now time for some pics

Not sure what Kaitlyn was trying to do here. I just happened to snap this as she was yelling something to me.

This was really funny! She was trying to fold her legs and pull the basket all the way down to the floor. Tried as she might though, it was a no-go.

Photo gallery updated

Well, I hope that everyone is doing good.  This weekend was a big bore for us.  We ran to Wal-mart like the rest of Ada on Friday night to get groceries since the "big ice a snow storm" was going to move over Ada and have us under 2 - 4" of slush and freezing stuff!!

Well, we ended up getting about 2" of rain.  Yep, just rain.  not freezing rain, not sleet, not slush, just rain.  So needless to say, the ice we still had here didn't stand a chance.  Then the sun came out today and took care of what was left.  So there is just a wee little left.

So it is a good thin that I took pictures outside on Saturday.  Be sure to run into the Photo Gallery and look under Winter Storm 07 gallery.  I added a new sub-gallery for Saturday (2nd), meaning the 2nd Saturday.. haha..

But we are very proud of Kaitlyn tonight.  We have been working with her and working with her, and just never wants to go poo in the toilet.  She would rather get off the toilet, have me put a diaper on her, then poo.  But tonight she actually stayed on her toilet (with a little bribery!) and took care business!  She looked up with this worried face afterwards and saw Randi and I clapping and shouting horray! and she just got this GIANT smile from ear to ear!  It was awesome!

Today was just sort of a lazy day (after I did my house cleaning)... haha..  Vicki dropped by to visit the kiddos and Randi and I and I wored to get my homework done for my online class.  That was about for today.  Oh, well and Jake called me tonight and told my about his exciting Nashville trip coming up.  Way to go Jake, go nock 'em dead in Nashville dude!!  I guess I need to get after a new web site now, something a bit more up-to-date!  haha..  :)

Photos Updated

100_0677.jpgI wanted to let everyone know that I added a few more pics to our Winter Storm-->Monday gallery. Vicki took some with her camera, and she was kind enough to send them over. She got some really good ones! They are the first several at the beginning of the gallery (they have a yellow time stamp in the bottom right corner).

We are still here!

Well, I know this post comes a bit late, but better than nothing.

As some of you may know, we ended up without power Sunday afternoon, and the temp in our house fell FAST! Lucky for us, Randi's folks had snow studded tires on their truck. So a BIG THANKS goes out to them for taking us in Sunday night and getting us home Monday afternoon.

Then yesterday morning we couldn't get Randi's car to start and we knew that both car seats probably wouldn't fit in my car. So since it was Randi's first day back, I let her take my car in, and I got to stay home with BOTH Kaitlyn AND Dylan. Suprisingly enough, it was pretty fun. Things went smooth though and Kaitlyn helped out a lot.

So now I am getting ready to walk out the door to head back to work for the first time this week.

One last little thing. In case you haven't looked, I uploaded the rest of my photos into our Photo Gallery. There are some funny pics from Monday when we all took turns sledding down the backyard at Travis and Vicki's.

New photos

I wanted to let everyone know I put some more photos in our Photo Galleries of the ice storm we are going through. I will get some out tomorrow also from round 3 when it moves over tomorrow.

Also, I couldn't resist the opportunity to put some new photos of Kaitlyn and Dylan on here too! And I even caught Dylan with his eyes open!! That is a hard thing to do! haha... Like usual, click one of the thumbnails to see the larger image.

"Who... me??" haha.. Can't find Kaitlyn?? Just look in the bathroom! That is her favorite room now-a-days. And the best I can guess is the shorts on her head is so she looks like her Strawberry Shortcake doll. haha...

Had some requests

I had a few requests to hear some of the Irish bands that I was talking about.  So I figured I would share some samples.  You will notice that there is a new link under the Pages heading to the right that reads "Celtic Fun!".  Just click it and start the player.  That is it.

As you might notice from the time of this posting, the player took a bit more to get it working the way I wanted it then I thought it would.  So now at 2:30 in the a.m. I am finally going to go to bed.

Well, I will get some photos of the weather down here for you all tomorrow too.  Everybody be careful!!

Dylan's Doctor Appointment

IMG_4346_1.jpg
Check out the outfit! I love this one!!

IMG_4349_1.jpg
This is another good one of him, doing what he does best! haha.. And check out the hair color!! OMG!

Randi took Dylan in this morning to have Dylan checked out. He has been coughing pretty bad and wheezing a bit. So the doc took a look at him and diagnosed him withe Bronchiolitis(??). So he prescribed some Albuteral and told us to watch him closely this weekend. But just after a few treatments he is sounding a lot better. Also, get this. This "little" boy Dylan tipped the scales today at 10lb, 5oz!! He was only 7lb, 15oz at birth on Nov. 29th! That kid can eat!

So then I decided I would be a man and hit the doc's office myself. I have had a pretty bad head cold, and it was hurting like heck to swallow, and it WASN'T going away. So I ended up with a prescription of some allergy pills and a shot in the hip. The "poor man's allergy shot" he called it. But whatever it was, I call it a miracle! About two hours later I was drinking and eating without nearly the amount of pain and my head was completely clear! I love me some "poor man's allergy shot"!! haha..

Randi had a pretty good day (and busy!) She went in to work to do tax stuff and ended up spending almost all day there and then still not getting everything done she wanted to do. If you ask me, I think she is sort of excited to get back to work, but I don't think she is going to like someone else taking care of the little kiddo. But I have a strange feeling that everything will work out for the best.

Something a bit different

If you are like me, you get tired of the same ol' music that a lot of the mainstream performers are pumping out nowadays.  Well, let me suggest a change of pace.  A rather amusing change at times.

If you haven't listened to them, find some way to listen to some before buying a CD anything (surely you can find someone that might have some samples - hint hint...).

Two of my most listened to groups right now are Dropkick Murphys and Flogging Molly.  These two bands have a bit of a style difference, but both are "Irish Punk/Alternative".  Dropkick Murphys tends to be more Irish Punk than anything else.  Flogging Molly is more what might be called "traditional" due to the instrument mix, and they are more rock/alternative.  But as I mentioned, they are "Irish".  So most of the songs are about drinking, which is always fun to listen to!  But it is just a nice change to the mainstream U.S. stuff that is the same artist after artist with different lyrics.

So if any of you would like to give them a try, let me know and I might be able to link up a couple of the songs.  A few good ones are "Finnegan's Wake" by Dropkick Murphys and "Salty Dog" or "Rebels of the Sacred Heart" by Flogging Molly.

Rough Life

I thought the kids were looking just completely exhasted today, so I had to snap some photos.

IMG_4337_1.jpg   IMG_4340_1.jpg

Dylan had a pretty good day.  He got in a lot of sleep.  Even though I was off, I took Kaitlyn to day care so that we could get some rest and she would be able to get out and run off some energy! haha...  So Dylan was able to sleep without getting kisses and hugs from Kaitlyn every 5 minutes.. lol...

Kaitlyn started in her new room with her new teacher this morning.  I took her in and handed her over to her new teacher who asked Kaitlyn if she wanted to hang out with them for the day, and another little girl in the class hollard, "NO!".  So I told Randi to be sure to keep her phone on and charged up in case we have to go get her for biting again! haha...

And Randi and I even got naps in this afternoon, so that was a welcome occurance!!  But, now I have to get ready to head back to work.  It should be interesting.  My boss is back after 2 weeks off, so I am hoping that she comes back in and we can just get back to business.  But I have a feeling she will go through her "oh my god, nothing got done!" phaze, which I don't like.

Then in a week from this Thursday I get to start back to school and try to nock out another 6 hours.  Shouldn't be too bad.  I have one class on campus on Tuesdays and Thursdays, but my second course is a web course, so that should be ok.  Well, I better get around.

OH!!  WAY TO GO POKES!!  and....  TOO BAD SOONERS!! haha..  It was a good game though.  But you have to wonder why Adrean Peterson couldn't run a 25 yard touchdown before overtime.  But, hey, I did want them to win, it would have looked good to have both our teams win.   bbbbbbuuuuuutttttttttttttttttttt, they didn't and the Cowboys did, so YEE HAW!!
