Big Day! Happy Birthday and Happy New Years!

happybday.jpgAll of us want to wish Grandma Moffat a BIG HAPPY BIRTHDAY!! We love ya!

And also to everyone, have a very HAPPY AND SAFE NEW YEAR!!

Kaitlyn took her a real good nap so we are watching The Little Mermaid and we are all just relaxing. That was part of Kaitlyn's nap deal. If she would take a nap, then we would watch her new movie. Plus, I got her hooked on another one of my favorite foods! haha.. Moonpies! I bought a few the other day to snack on and she wouldn't even touch them. Then this morning she took just a little bite and got the biggest smile! haha..

Dylan has been asleep most of the day actually. He sounds a little rough. The weather changes have been pretty rough on him.

Quick Update...

Things are going pretty good down here.

Randi went to the doctor's office the other day to check up on her incission and make sure she is healing ok.  The doctor said that everything looked good and to still be careful lifting much.

Kaitlyn has been getting in trouble at day care.  She has been biting other kids.  I was thinking that maybe the other kids were picking on her or something.  Her teacher told me today though, that she and another kid were just standing by each other and Kaitlyn reached over and bit him.

She wanted to know what we do with her at our house when she bites, but that is just it!  She doesn't do it at home!  I told her she was around our nieces and nephews over Christmas weekend and never even tried to bite any of them.  So who knows.

Dylan is still doing really good.  Randi said he has been taking good naps during the afternoons which is good.

I have just been trying to finish up projects at work.  One of these days I might get caught up.. haha

And as you might see, I have been playing with themes on our site again.  Sorry to anyone who was trying to look at pics today, since I forgot to add that link to this new theme.  You should see the link now though, so we are good to go.

OH!!  AND WAY TO GO POKES!!  Pretty good bowl game (if you consider a game when the team that wins receives about 100 penalties!).  So really it was kind of sad because both teams looked off their game.  But Alabama showed some spunk every once in a while.  But DANG it is good to see the Cowboys win a bowl game!

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!

Merry Christmas everyone, from our family to your's.

It was a pretty busy Christmas Eve here.  We started the morning by opening up our Christmas presents here for our little family (pictures posted in the Photo Gallery).  Then Tim and Debbie and their girls stopped by to see Dylan and visit a bit.  Then we headed to Randi's Grandma's house to visit a little and let her Uncle Andy get to see Dylan for the first time.  Then we headed over to Randi's parents house to open presents with her family (pictures posted in the Photo Gallery).  So after all that, we got home around 10ish, and then ended up spending an hour to get Kaitlyn in bed.

Now I have some laundry going for tomorrow, and hopefully I will make it to bed sometime before 1... haha..  So to get up early in the morning and head to Stillwater is not looking like too much fun right now, but we can do it.  We may be a bit tired, but we will be there.  We can't wait to see all the family up there that we haven't seen in a while, and there are a bunch of them that haven't ever met Dylan, so we are ready to get up there.

So I will close this post with another great big MERRY CHRISTMAS!

New pictures posted

I put some new photos that I have been snapping the past few weeks in our Photo Gallery. Some pretty funny ones of Kaitlyn getting caught climbing into Dylan's crib and sitting in his bouncy chair. We got some of Dylan what he does best (sleeping.. haha). And some of Kaitlyn practicing her modeling. She is cute when she wants to be! lol...

kaitlyn_in_swing.jpg
Kaitlyn decided she likes to sit in the little swing that is for Dylan. This time she fell asleep!

Family update

Well, things have been going alright here. Just a bit busier than usual, of course it is to be expected with 2 kids now! haha...

Randi has been doing an awesome job though. She is one AWESOME lady and I love her like crazy!

Kaitlyn has really come out of her shell since Dylan go here. Even the ladies at her daycare agreed to that. They said she has changed. The only down side is we aren't sure if it is for the best or not! haha... The little 1/2 sheet of paper we get from daycare each day had a big note written on the back that she was trying to hit and bite the other kids at daycare. So she got lectured from daddy for that. Also her teacher said that when she puts Kaitlyn down for a nap that she can't leave the room or Kaitlyn starts to scream. She also does this at night with Randi and me. We have to sit down on the floor by her bed, or in the rocking chair until she falls asleep. But it is ok. I just take my laptop in there and we listen to her lullaby CD until she falls asleep.

Kaitlyn did develop a pretty bad cough earlier this week, so I took her to the doctor (her OSU doctor, so we had to dress her in her OSU wind suite).  So she ended up getting diagnosed with croop.  So she has been on some medicine for that the rest of the week, into tomorrow.  I messed up this morning though, and gave her medicine to her without giving her food or milk first, and she threw up. And the craziest thing! I held her hair why she did it, and DIDN'T through up! I even got to clean it up!  Nothing like curdled milk and eggs!! Yummy! lol..

Work is ok.  We had our Division Christmas party last weekend.  It was at the new Winstar Golf Course in Thackerville.  So it was sort of neat, I have never been that close to the casino down there.  And the golf course is BEAUTIFUL!!  Our party was in the clubhouse, in a big fancy meeting room with a big balcony overlooking the course (sort of sucked it was dark).  But the whole deal was sort of a big long waste of time.  The food wasn't that great either.  But we each got a bag full of Bedre Chocolates and we got our picture taken with Neal McCoy!  He was putting on a concert at the casino the same night, so they talked him in to coming to the golf course to have his photo taken with our division.  I hope to get my hands on it soon so I can post it.  Randi got to stand right behind him and we were trying to get her to grab his behind, but she didn't do it.. haha.

We also got to go to Randi's office party.  Theirs was much more fun!  It was at the Elk's Lodge in Ada (with an open bar)!! lol..

The folks she works for are awesome though.  The food there was great and they did awards for their salespeople and workers.  It was really neat to see how the company she works for is setup.

Randi did an awesome job too getting us all ready for Christmas here at the house.  She has been running herself ragged getting all the presents gathered and cleaning the house and taken care of the kids.  She even took care of Dylan AND Kaitlyn one day when Kaitlyn couldn't go to daycare!  I'm telling you, she is one awesome woman!

So now we are getting ready for our travels to begin.  We are spending Christmas Eve with Randi's folks and family in Davis, then heading to Stillwater Christmas morning (early!) to spend that day with my folks and family.  Then it is back to work Tuesday.  So we will see everyone along the way!  I hope that everyone is careful and safe this holiday!

Dylan Update

We took Dylan in for his 2 week check up this morning, and man he is good!

Just a refresher: at birth he was 7lbs, 15oz and 19.5" long.

Today this little boy is now 8lbs, 12oz and is 21.75"!!

They told Randi that she is doing a GREAT job feeding him! Haha

Even with all this growth though, he still barely fits in his Newborn size clothes! Lol..

Anyway, just wanted to update everyone on him.

Pretty funny

My boss sent this to me....

Ever wondered what happens when Hallmark writers are having a bad day?........
My tire was thumping.
I thought it was flat
When I looked at the tire...
I noticed your cat.
Sorry!
~~~~~~~~~~
Heard your wife left you,
How upset you must be.
But don't fret about it...
She moved in with me.
~~~~~~~~~~
Looking back over the years
that we've been together,
I can't help but wonder...
"What the hell was I thinking?"
~~~~~~~~~~
Congratulations on your wedding day!
Too bad no one likes your husband.
~~~~~~~~~~
How could two people as beautiful as you
Have such an ugly baby?
~~~~~~~~~~
I've always wanted to have
someone to hold,
someone to love.
After having met you ..
I've changed my mind.
~~~~~~~~~~
I must admit, you brought Religion into my life.
I never believed in Hell until I met you.
~~~~~~~~~~
As the days go by, I think of how lucky I am...
That you're not here to ruin it for me.
~~~~~~~~~~
Congratulations on your promotion.
Before you go...
Would you like to take this knife out of my back?
You'll probably need it again.
~~~~~~~~~~
Happy Birthday, Uncle Dad!
(Available only in Tennessee , Kentucky & West Virginia)
~~~~~~~~~~
Happy birthday! You look great for your age.
Almost Lifelike!
~~~~~~~~~~
When we were together,
you always said you'd die for me.
Now that we've broken up,
I think it's time you kept your promise.
~~~~~~~~~~
We have been friends for a very long time ..
let's say we stop?
~~~~~~~~~~
I'm so miserable without you
it's almost like you're here.
~~~~~~~~~~
Congratulations on your new bundle of joy.
Did you ever find out who the father was?
~~~~~~~~~~
Your friends and I wanted to do
something special for your birthday.
So we're having you put to sleep.
~~~~~~~~~~
So your daughter's a hooker,
and it spoiled your day.
Look at the bright side,
it's really good pay

Up and running...

Well, I managed, after some mess-ups, to get the new version of Gallery (which is my photo gallery script) to run.

It wasn't the easiest install, but it sure was easy to migrate the photos and videos from version 1 to version 2.

There are some pretty neat add-ons with version 2 as well. The hard part is finding them, installing them, and configuring them! Other than that, it is cake! Haha..

I did get the one installed to send a picture as an ecard. That was pretty easy. The one I really want, and am having the hardest time with is the "download as zip" module. Supposedly people would have the option to add the ones they want to download to a "cart" and then they are supposed to have the option to download the cart as a zip file. I will let you know when I get that one working.

Monday, December 11

Just a fair warning

I am going to be working on upgrading our Photo Gallery that is linked to under Pages.  I wanted to let you all know so that if you tried to go to it and you it isn't working, that is probably the case.  :)

Last Friday luncheon

As I mentioned earlier, my mom and dad came down from Stillwater to eat lunch with us. We had a great time, and I know that for some reason dad thinks we ate at the Boomerrang, however, we don't have one of those in Ada.. haha.. We actually ate at a local restaurant named Bandana's. It was really good too! Thanks again to mom and dad for coming down to see us!

I stole these off of dad's site since I didn't have my camera with me. As much as I give him hell, I am really glad he takes that camera with him everywhere!

Fun ol' Sunday

Well, Randi and the kids and I are hanging out at Sooner Fasion Mall today. We had some photos taken this morning, and so far they have turned out really nice! We are having a pretty good day though.

Kaitlyn actually smilled and said "cheese" everytime!

Anyway, we are just waiting for a couple more play outs and then we are blowing this joint.

I wanted to send a big THANK YOU to my mom and dad for coming down last Friday and having lunch with us. We had a really good time!

Well, I will get some more posts caught up when I get home and have a chance to. I also have some new photos of the kiddos that I will get out there to view. Later!

So far, so good

We made it in to the doctor's office this morning for Randi.  They got her staples out and said that everything looks good.  They told her to just watch it incase infection pops up, but so far it all looks good.

After the appointment, we went to Randi's office to show off Dylan to the folks there and they were all really excited to see her.  After that we went by my office for the folks I work with to see Dylan.  And the best part, Dylan managed to make "presents" at both offices! haha..

After that we came home so I could start in my homework.  Then we got a visitor by the lady that lives next door.  She just had to come see the new one.  Then our landlord saw me outside taking trash out and decided to stop by and see us.  So we had a couple visitors.

Off to the docs

We are gearing up to head out and visit Randi's doctor this morning. She is going to get her staples out, so she is very excited.

And then I believe the plan will be to swing by her office to show off the new addition.

Anyway, just thought I would keep everyone informed!

Another pic of Dylan

IMG_4015.jpg I really liked this photo so I thought I would share.

Dylan featured on BabyNursery.com

That is right. It just took them a few days, but Dylan is now on Babynursery.com. Just thought I would pass that around for all. The picture isn't that good (as usual) but it is still cute!

Time for an update and some pics

Well, I have been snapping away since I have been home.  I sort of like this home thing! haha..  In case you didn't know, you can click on the thumbnail to look at the larger picture.

IMG_4103.jpgDylan getting ready for his first bath our house.

IMG_4107.jpgCome to find out, he liked it about as much as Kaitlyn did! haha.

IMG_4113.jpgKaitlyn loves to tell people her age (not to mention she loves her picture taken!)

IMG_4118.jpgVicki and Travis stopped by to see Dylan and Kaitlyn as well as Randi for her big 3-0!

IMG_4120.jpgAshton was staying with Vicki and Travis so he got to check out Dylan as well. This was his second trip over. He came over earlier with his mom and dad when they stopped by to visit.

IMG_4123.jpgYou can't tell, but Dylan is staring down the Christmas tree!

IMG_4128.jpgHe sort of has the same look that I have on my face after a long day of work! haha.

IMG_4134.jpgI know that Randi would probably kill me for all the referrences to her age now, but I had to put this on here becuase I MADE THE CAKE! Believe it or not, I actually baked a cake!

IMG_4137.jpgI think she was laughing at my cake more than me and Kaitlyn singing to her.

IMG_4138.jpgI came home after class this morning to find something on my roof. Wasn't sure what it was until I went and got my camera.

IMG_4141.jpgYep, a big ol' squirrel was sunning on our roof. I was back and forth in and out of the house, but he never moved. I think he loved that spot.

IMG_4145.jpgFor some reason now, Kaitlyn can't seem to keep her clothes on. This was this morning right before lunch. She managed to remove her pants and then her shirt. I told her to get her shirt back on at least, and this is what we got! haha..

Late, gee, what's new?? haha

HAPPY BIRTHDAY RANDI!!  Hope it was a good one for you.  Me and the kids love the heck out of you!

More pictures

I posted some more pics in our photo gallery.  They are some new ones I took of Kaitlyn and Dylan hanging out.  So far they seem to get along really good, but there is also no toy sharing yet.. haha...

Presenting Dylan Scott Moffat!!

For those that may actually read this who don't already know, Randi and I were fortunate enought to welcome a new member to our family, Dylan Scott.

He was born Wednedsay morning, Nov. 29 at 8:55am.  He wieghed in at 7lbs, 15oz and was 19.5" long.  He is doing spectacular and has received a clean bill of health.  Momma also received a clean bill of health and did an awesome job through the procedure.  She came out looking awesome compared to the one to deliver Kaitlyn.  So out of nowhere, the doctor even let her go home a day earlier.  We LOVED that!

Sure makes you want to be a baby again though.  Watching him sleep and eat all day and all night.  Work stinks! haha...

These are just a few pics I grabbed real quick.  I am going to try and get all of the ones I took in one of my photo galleries tonight.  (between commercials of the Big 12 Championship of course.. haha)

Dylan_1.jpg
Since I knew I would be a nervous wreck, I decided to take a picture so I wouldn't forget what he weighed! haha... 7lbs, 15oz!

Dylan_2.jpg
This is big sister Kaitlyn checking out little brother Dylan for the first time. She was really excited and would just stand there and stare at him.

Dylan_3.jpg
Proud pappy! haha.. We have a pic like this with me and Kaitlyn so I had to do the same with Dylan.

Friday, November 24

Post Thanksgiving Day

haha..  Well, it is the day after.  It took us almost an entire day to recover from the overeating that occured! haha..  Just kidding!

We sure were hoping that Randi getting a big ol' Thanksgiving lunch complete with a tadbit of dessert would get little Dylan on his way, but it was a no-go.  We guess he is just going to hang in there until the doc takes him out! lol

We are really getting excited though.  Just a matter of days now.  Next Wednesday morning to be exact.  I have to get Randi to the hospital at 6 a.m. and they start the procedure at 8 a.m.  So it won't be long.

I guess I am still going through MY "nesting" phase.  Randi and I moved the living room furniture around this afternoon after going shopping at Wal-Mart this morning.  Then I cleaned the outside of the house windows.  That just seems like way too much work for me!  haha....

Kaitlyn's update

Well little Miss Kaitlyn had her 2 year check up this morning with the good ol' doc.  We can tell she is getting a little braver with age.  She actually didn't go kicking and screaming into his office today! haha..

Usually the second you start walking down the hallway she starts her screaming and yelling NO!  But Randi said she did really good, and even told him "bye-bye" when they were leaving.

But all is good.  She received a clean bill of health.  She did have a tad bit of water behind her left ear, but he doesn't think it is anything to worry over right now.  So we are to get her an appointment scheduled for when we take Dylan in for his 2 week appointment.

Just thought I would let you all know why I was trying to sneak a break at work.

Thursday, November 2

Thursday excitement

We had a doctor’s appointment this afternoon with Randi's doctor.  Just one of those fun stress test appointments where they hook her to the machine and we sit there, and sit there, and sit there, and sit there, and... well, you get the point.

Well, they weren't seeing the movement in heart rate that they wanted to see in the time that we were there, so they sent us over to the Labor & Delivery area at Valley View Hospital.  The fun part was that we got to her doctor's office at 1 for the stress test.  They tested her there until about 3, and then told us we needed to get to the hospital.  Well, both of us had left stuff unfinished at work for the first appointment, so we both had to run back to our offices and wrap stuff up and then we met back at the hospital.

So they hooked her to the machine again and man was Dylan having fun!  He was moving around like crazy and kicking and his heart rate was up and down, just like they wanted to see.  So after about 2.5 hours of being hooked up to the machine, the doc popped his head in the door and said "go home".

So Dylan is looking good.  We go back next week for another test, and every week after until Dylan decides to show up.

I just thought I would share our bit of fun today.

Halloween and fishes 06

IMG_3872.JPGI put some photos in our gallery tonight of a few different things tonight.  They are just all in the top-most gallery.  The photos are of Kaitlyn's new fish that we got her to go in her fish tank she got for her birthday, Halloween and also some fun with shorts! haha..  You will just have to look.

Kaitlyn wasn't that big of a fan of Halloween tonight.  Most of the times someone knocked on our door, she would take off hauling butt to me with a look of massive fear on her face.  It was cute though! lol!

halloween.jpgThere was about 4 of us that somewhat dressed up that day at the office.  Well, 3  of us "sort of did" and 1 of us really did!  All 3 guys in the picture (your's truely on your left) sort of did, and then Stacy actually made her dress herself, by hand!  So she is pretty talented!

Everything else is going ok so far.  Just trying to keep my head above water and my butt out of trouble... haha...  You all be careful!

Kaitlyn's 2nd Birthday

IMG_3820.JPGWell, our little girl turned the big '2' on October 23rd.  We tossed her a little party the weeked before and had both sides of the family gather at our house to celebrate it with us.

We had a house full, but it was worth it.  Kaitlyn got all sorts of good stuff from everyone.  Probably way much more than she deserved.. haha..

IMG_3848.JPGNah, she is completely worth it.  She has been having a ball with her new stuff.  Thanks to everyone for coming and enjoying it with us.

Festival photos

IMG_3166.JPGRandi and Kaitlyn went with me to the Chickasaw Nation Festival the first part of October.  We all had a pretty good time.  I had to cover it for work on the last Saturday so we all loaded up and headed to Tishomingo.

The parade was pretty good, and VERY long this year.  Then we went down to the park and I had to cover the horseshoe tournament.  Randi and Kaitlyn went across the creek to look at what all the vendors had available.

IMG_3178.JPGThey always have a lot of neat things going on, but I didn't get to see them all this year.  One of the neatest things is the art market.  I was hoping to get to make it up there, but I ran out of time.  Anyway, enjoy the pictures I added in the Festival photo gallery.

Latest ultrasound photos

ultrasound10-17-06.jpgOn October 17th (still catching the site up) we had an ultrasound of little Dylan.  Things look good and the results showed a big ol' boy.  At the time of the ultrasound Randi was about 33 weeks, and Dylan's head and stomach were measuring about 2 weeks later.  We also found out he is in the 90th percentile.

ultrasound10-17-06_1.jpgThat was really about it though.  Everything looks good and we are still on target for Nov. 29th.

Last for this evening

I put a new miscellanous gallery in our photo gallery.  It is various photos I took through September.

IMG_2909_sized.jpgSome are from Kaitlyn messing with her rocker.  There are also a couple movies in that gallery too.

IMG_2931_sized.jpgSome of the photos are of the new pipes I received from my new Albanian friend.  They are really neat!  I have them displayed in my office, next to my mini zen garden.. haha..

I have more to upload, but I have to call it quits for tonight.  I am about to fall asleep.  Talk at you all tomorrow!

And the flashbacks begin...

IMG_7021.jpgWell, one of the earliest things that happened that I was going to put on here was the surprise baby shower that my office through for us on September 18th.  It took them almost 2 weeks to put together, and I almost stumbled upon it a couple times (and sadly never realized it).

Basically it was an incredibly elaborate plan, and they are awesome for doing it.  This just goes to show that we do act sort of like a big (dysfunctional) family! haha...

Seriously, I work with an awesome bunch of folks.  We got all sorts of neat things.  And some that Kaitlyn has been breaking in for little brother.  The main one is a small chair that unzips and turns into a sleeping bag.  Kaitlyn has been making sure that it isn't stiff, and that it is nice and fluffy for Dylan. haha...  But she has been really good around the other stuff.  I can even pick up some of the clothes they bought for Dylan and I will ask Kaitlyn who they are for, and she will say "Dylan". lol...

I placed some photos from the party in our Photo Gallery, so check them out.  They were taken by one of our Photographers, Mike.

We are still alive!

My dad put a comment on here asking if there was no life after July.  Well, believe it or not, life has been so busy, that basically we haven't had a life! haha..  Between my trying to keep my A in financial accounting and work (and more work), I have been pretty busy.

I have a lot of photos and some movies to get uploaded, so I will try to get those online for everyone to see.  I will be back on here soon!

Monday, July 31

And another year escapes us...

Well, for those of you that may not know, today is a very special day for Randi and I.  Today is our 7 year anniversary.  It was 7 years ago today that I told her that I do, and it has been an awesome 7 years!

If you look at this honey, I love you!  I am yelling it from the mountain tops!

The 7 years together weren't always easy, and we had some rough spots, but we have always stayed together and supported eachother any way possible.  And now we are sharing our lives with our awesome 21 month old daughter, and soon, our wonderful son Dylan.  What more could a man ask for, the wife of his dreams and 2 kiddos (and I better not forget the cat... haha..).

Anyway, just wanted to share that with you honey, and the rest of our families.  We are 2 lucky folks whose path happened to cross, and the rest, they say, is history.  Or in our case, the rest is the next 50 + years together honey!

I love you, and have a wonderful day honey!  HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!!

Kaitlyn Cell Phone Videos

kaitlyn_video_shot.jpgI have caught Kaitlyn, on numerous occasions, with my cell phone glued to her and talking to people.  Well, finally I was able to sneak the camera out without her seeing and get some video of it.  They are in the top gallery in our Photo Gallery, enjoy!

It is really pretty funny.  She will walk around for at least an hour from time-to-time just mumbling away like she is having a serious conversation.  I just hope when the phone bill comes in that I don't find any calls to China!  haha...

Wednesday, July 19

This hits close to home...

:) haha!  If you think you might be a Blackberry addict (a.k.a. on the "Crackberry"), then yo have to watch this.  If you have a family member or loved one that you think might be under the influence of the Crackberry, please tell them to watch this video, it is very important to the safety of us all! lol!

I just found this video this morning and it is pretty funny, especially since I am close to falling into this category!  The video is a .mov file, so you will need Quicktime to watch it.  Click here to get the movie (it is on my server, but have fun!)

Ultrasound pics are out

dylan_ultrasound3.jpgJust a note to let you know that the ultrasound photos of Dylan Scott are now online in our photo gallery.  Check them out!

Â

IT'S A.............

BOY!!  That is right.  We are now fixing to add a little boy to our family mix here in ol' Roff.  Dylan Scott is said to be doing good and appears to be growing perfectly on schedule.  So in a matter of a little more than 4 months, Kaitlyn will have a little brother to pick on, I mean play with... haha..

She really didn't know what to think of the ultrasound.  She sat there on my lap and looked at me, then Randi, then the ultrasound tech, then the screen, and back.  So I don't know if she thought the tech was hurting her mom or what, but she didn't make a peep the whole time.

So now Randi and I have began using 'Dylan' instead of baby.  And Kaitlyn can already almost say it!

They gave us some ultrasound photos, so I will try to get those scanned in and online tonight or tomorrow.  Hope everyone is doing good, and I will post again later.

Monday, July 17

Pics are there

Well, it is about 12:35 in the a.m., and I am ready for bed.  I have the photos and videos uploaded now.  I am going to try to move the videos into a folder of there own, but I will do that later.  Right now, Jonny need sleepy!  Enjoy the pics.

We survived, and have proof!

Well, we have made it home from our little vacation trip.  Randi, Kaitlyn and I went down to Lake Murray in Ardmore and spent from Friday night through this afternoon.  We had a good time swimming and playing and sleeping! haha..  Hey, what else is a camper trailer with some cold air conditioning and dish network good for when it is 108 degrees by noon?? haha..

Vicki and Travis, Randi's parents, were nice enough to allow us to borrow thier camper and have a weekend away from home.  Thanks so much to both of them for it.  It was a perfect way to let us all forget about the world and just have fun together.  We got to swim in some nice cool water and watch the boats go by and eat some good cookin'.  And you will never beleive it, but I even did some grilling myself! lol...

Well, I have a bunch of pictures to go through and also some videos to crunch to put online for everyone to see.  Kaitlyn really had fun and kept me and Randi in stitches most of the time!  I will get these pictures out there as quick as I can.  Hopefully later tonight or tomorrow.

Also, we go Tuesday (tomorrow) at 1 for an ultrasound to try to determine if Kaitlyn is getting a new little brother or sister.  When we were at the lake, she did point at Randi's belly and say "sister", so maybe she knows something we don't?

Monday, June 19

A long overdue update

Well, it is I again.  A lot has been going on, but things are slowing down a bit now.  Well, i hope so.  Work is still busy as ever though.

Well, to get everyone caught up, I will go back about a week.  That was when I found out I was getting tonsillitis and conjunctivitis (pink eye).  Then Randi, Kaitlyn and I all ended up with a little bit of a cold that roughed us up a bit.  But we are all getting healthy again, so things are looking up a bit there.

And I think it was actually before that, but I can't remember now, but I got to pick Kaitlyn up one afternoon because day care called and said she was running a fever.  Well, on the way back to my office with her, she decided to let loose all that she had eaten for lunch.  All over her and my back seat.  It wasn't pretty at all! haha..

IMG_2751.JPGWe got to go up to Stillwater last weekend to see my folks and spend sometime with dad for Father's Day.  Also got to hang out with my younger bro.  It was his birthday as well.  Pretty good turn out and some awesome food that night!

I snapped off some pictures of the IMG_2739.JPGkiddos out playing in the yard Saturday afternoon, so I have uploaded those to my gallery, so give them a look-see.

Well, this is short, but I have some stuff to get done tonight.  So until we chat again.  Later!

Quick update and funny story

Well, things are still trucking along here in southern Oklahoma.  We had a doctor's appointment for Randi yesterday (Wednesday).  The PA scared us to death because she spent about 10 minutes trying pick up the heartbeat of the baby, and couldn't.  So needless to say, we were both very scared.

After that, she left the room to "get another pair of ears", and returned to tell us that she was going to have an ultrasound done.  So that really didn't help, we were still scared.  Well, after all that, we got to see the new baby just a kicking and moving around and moving it's arms and head and everything, so that was awesome!!  So then we got to relax.. haha...  But everything looks good and they didn't adjust her insulin or anything, so she is doing really well.  But like last time (with Kaitlyn), we will be going back about every 2 weeks.

And now for the funny story.  So, those of you that know me know that I am COMPLETELY TERRIFIED of snakes.  I can't even stand to be around them when they are in a cage or behind glass or anything, just don't like them.

Well, Randi found one hanging from one of the bushes outside our backdoor.  So after some "no you do it, no you do it" and so on, we came up with what seemed like a smart idea (since we don't own a shotgun or shovel or anything like that).  Randi tossed it in the road, and I tried to run over it with my car! haha...   The bad part was that I kept missing it with the tire so I was going forward, stopping, and backing up and back forward and so on! haha...  I think our neighbors thought we had gone nuts.  Needless to say, I finally got lined up perfect and blew the thing up with the tire.

So my brother Jake told me today....  Get a hoe!  haha..  I think I will be going to the hardware store tomorrow!  lol...

Memorial Weekend

Well, I hope that everyone had a great weekend.  I know I did (and so did that 12 pack of Miller Lite I took with me... hehe..)

We all headed down to Lake Texoma to spend a couple days with Randi's family and extended family.  It was pretty fun.  We got to eat some good food and took all the boats out and did some swimming and stuff, so it was pretty cool.  Randi, being early in her pregnancy, stayed on shore, but she got to take Kaitlyn swimming so they had a good time too.  There is a new gallery in my Photo Gallery link for some pics from the weekend (like the ones of Kaitlyn in her little bikini) haha..

We are all doing pretty good, just really busy.  Randi has been doing really good with her blood sugar.  She has an appointment tomorrow and we might (or should) get to hear the baby's heart beat.  I'm not sure if I am going to get off work for it, but I'm going to try.

Let's see, it has been a while since the last update.  Well, in my college attempt, I ended up with all A's, so that was really awesome!  I was pretty excited about that, but I am still under the probation limit so I have to get another couple of semesters with all A's to get off that finally.

I guess last but not least, I have a few pics of Kaitlyn I thought I would toss out here.  Just some of her with her favorite toy right now! lol...

Fun Weekend ahead

Well, I snuck away from the hospital for a moment to eat some breakfast and stuff.  We got Randi admitted to the hospital this morning around 6:30 am for her luxury accommodations at Valley View for the weekend.

Same thing as when she was pregnant Kaitlyn.  Randi's blood sugar is too high, so the doc is putting her on insulin and he put in the hospital for the weekend to get her started on it.  So a fun 8 months of shots in her stomach, I'm sure she is going to love that! haha..

Vickie was great enough to keep Kaitlyn for us this weekend so Kaitlyn doesn't have to be bounced around the hospital and home and stuff, and plus she will be able to get her nap it.  However, we did found out yesterday afternoon that Kaitlyn now seems to have hand, foot and mouth disease.  Apparently she picked it up from her day care.  The lovely place that sends her home time after time with other kid's pacifiers and shoes and stuff.. haha..  Anyway, I guess it is to be expected being around all those other kids, so it is just part of "being a kid"... lol..  So about 5-7 days now and she should be over this (we hope).

Well, I better get back to the hospital before she gets to wondering about me..haha..  I Will update again soon.

All around update

Well, it is busy as usual around here.  I will try to get you updated best I can.

Well, first my school stuff.  I got my score back on my 2nd economics test.  Well, lets just say that when you put school aside to do work stuff at home, it shows.  I ended up with a 79%.  So now the only way I can keep my A in that class is to make a 100% on my written assignment due in a week, and also a 96 or higher on the final test.  Needless to say, it looks like it will be a B in there for me.  And you know what, I will take it.  That class is getting rough and with the semester running out, my professor just keeps going faster and faster through the material so he can get everything covered that he wants to.

I also got pre-enrolled for next fall.  I bit easier schedule than this semester, which I will need with Randi having us another kiddo this fall.  I enrolled in Financial Accounting (I took it at OSU, but didn't score high enough, so I have to retake it before I can move on to Managerial Accounting).  So Financial Accounting is Tuesdays and Thursdays at 8:00am.  Then, this is awesome!  I'm taking Computer Business Applications (another I took at OSU, but this one didn't transfer).  But, it is a web class!!  So I only have 1 class I have to go to the campus for.  So that will make work alot easier!

Now onto other stuff.  Randi went to the lab today so they could draw blood for some diabities test.  We didn't hear anything today, so maybe we will tomorrow.  As some of you may recall with Kaitlyn, as soon as we found out we were pregnant and that Randi's blood sugar was high, they put her in the hospital for the weekend to get her on insulin.  Well, we have a very good shot to be back in the hospital it seems.  So I will keep you all posted on that.

IMG_2630.JPGKaitlyn is just being Kaitlyn.  We go from good mood to fussy in 2 seconds flat! haha...  Nah, she is doing good.  She is acting like she is feeling a lot better, so maybe we got rid of her ear infections (we hope).  She came home today so covered in dust and dirt that Randi said that dirt fell out of her shoes when she took them off of her.  But I tell you what.  If she keeps practicing her easter egg picking up, she is going to kick but next year.  We have spent every night this week picking them up and putting them in her basket, and then dumping it and doing it again.  So watch out boys! haha...

Happy After Easter!

kaitlyn_easter_06.jpgWell, late as usual.  So here is a late Happy Easter to everyone.

Kaitlyn, Randi and I headed up to Stillwater for the Easter holiday to spend it with my family this year.  And we missed everyone that wasn't there.

But Kaitlyn got her some Easter egg hunting in and well, needless to say, I think I spent most of my time grazing (a cool little deal I learned how to do from my good ol' Uncle David.. haha).  The food was great though, and so was the visit.  We hope to get back up there soon, but we will just have to see around my school schedule.  We will be moving into finals here before long.  Well, we were just assigned our last lab assignment in computer programming today, so I guess that means the end is near... lol..

I wanted to let everyone know that I updated our photo gallery tonight.  The first 3 galleries on page one have been updated.  I put a new movie in gallery #1, some new misc. pictures in gallery #2 and then added a new gallery as #3 with the Easter Sunday pictures.

Well, I hope everyone is doing well.  Randi has her first doctor's appointment Wednesday, so maybe after that we might know how far along we are and a possible due date.  So I will be back on here soon.  Till then...

Thursday, April 6

Well, it happened again!!

Lady's and gentlemen, Randi and I give you #2!!

That is right!  We just found out the first of the week that we are now expecting our second kiddo. woo hoo!

We are really excited about it.  It looks like it will be around the end of November of 1st of December.

Our minds are still swirling ourselves.  This wasn't really expected, but man, we are happy!  And now Kaitlyn will have a new playmate, so I am sure she will be happy (once she gets over her jealousness.. haha).

Anyway, just wanted everyone to know.  We go to the doctor on April 19th as our first "official" visit.  So more news to follow.

Monday, April 3

It is official

Well, it is official today. I am now the Digital Design & Development Manager! Our old department of Web Development has been transformed now to Digital Design & Development. A new department consisting of a web team (that I manage), a graphic design team (that I manage) and a photography team (that my director manages).

This is what I love though. So I get to manage the web team. Well, I had a flash guy quit about a month ago, and we can't find a replacement. My web programmer (advance programming) is going to do database development over at our IT department, so he is gone, my web developer is going to move to the photography group, and my last web "helper" is on short term disability. So, the web team is ME! haha.. I am now the Manager, Project Manager and Web Developer. whew! fun times.

Well, I updated our photo gallery with some new photos of Kaitlyn and also a video. They are the 2 galleries on page 1 that say "UPDATED 4/3/06". She is just getting so big, and so mean! lol... She has been coming home with busted lips and bite marks and everything. So we aren't sure how much of that is her getting picked on, since they moved her to a new room, or how much is her bringing it on herself... lol..

Anyway, hope everyone is doing good! Miss you all!

Midterms turn out GREAT!

Well, I just got my computer programming midterm score back! And boy am I excited! The test consisted of 3 parts (Part 1 & 2 were written tests and Part 3 was a program I had to write). So here is the breakdown:

Part 1: 55 out of 60 points (missed 1)
Part 2: 55 out of 60 points (missed 1)
Part 3: 30 out of 30 points

For a grand total of 140 out of 150 points or a 93.3%. Then, she let us know that she was also giving 5 points extra for each part of the test we took. So if we took Parts 1, 2 and 3, then we got 15 extra points. Well, I did, so my grand total was.............

155 points out of 150 points possible or a 103%.. haha...

So I ended up after midterms, both classes, A's!! This boy is really excited!! Now I just have to keep it up for another 1 1/2 months. But I think I can. Then it will be on to summer school I guess. Boy oh boy.. haha.

Friday, March 10

Oh My Gosh!!

I CAN'T BELIEVE IT!! I have been out of school for almost 10 years now, and at the end of midterm week, I have 2 A's!!

I just got my economics midterm score and I made a 93 out of 100!! Man it is a FANTASTIC day! Now, I just have to wait until after spring break to get my full programming midterm score, but I felt pretty good on both tests parts and I turn my completed program in today, and it is perfect (haha) so I should be able to keep my A in there!

WOO HOO!!

Thursday, March 9

HAPPY B-DAY SIS!!

If my sis happens across here, everyone tell her HAPPY BIRTHDAY! And since she is my older sister, lets say she is like 28 or 29... Yea, that works good for me!! haha!!

Love ya sis, and have a happy birthday!! See you this weekend!

Tuesday, March 7

Midterms are almost over!

Well, I made it through most of my midterm work. I have completed the 2 tests for my computer programming class, and now I have the rest of the week to finish my midterm program I have to turn in there.

I took my econ midterm today, I'm REALLY glad to have that one over. But now thanks to my work, I have to miss class on Thursday (my next day in econ). So that kind of sucks, but that is work I guess. And now my boss wants to sign me up in more leadership course the tribe offers. I'm not complaining of that, since she wants to promote me to manager, but these classes she signs me up for are usually during the week, mandatory, and normally all day, meaning that I continue to miss class.

Now, for those that might remember, why did I "stop" going to O.S.U.????? haha....

Wednesday, March 1

Just call her "Bruiser"

Well, it appears that Kaitlyn is doing good, and back at it. They have been going outside to play at day care since it has been so nice. Last night when Randi brought her home, we noticed a nice little start of a black eye. The day care said they didn't know what it was from (if someone tagged her or if she fell or anything).

Anyway, you know me, I have to take a picture.. haha... Here is little "Bruiser".

Now I have to teach her to say "you ought to see the other guy", and she will be good to go! lol...

Also in the news........

I have made it through a couple of "firsts" over the past week. Last week, I took my first college test in about 9 or 10 years. I did ok, but not what I wanted. I made an 80 on it. But, the good thing is she is going to use points from that test as extra points on the midterm (which is awesome for me).

Then today, I took part 1 of our 3 part midterm in computer programming. I went over the questions with the guy in our office who is a programmer, and according to him, I aced it. So I'm pretty happy. Now I have about another week to finish up the other 2 parts of the midterm in that class, and then an econ midterm next Tuesday. So it hasn't been as bad as I thought, other than the time (or little of it) to try and keep up with work and still play with Kaitlyn at night.

Anyway, I guess that is it for now. Everyone take care, and we will get some new videos of Kaitlyn and some new pictures on there later tonight. So check out the photo gallery Thursday or Friday (will be the Kaitly In Action gallery and the Misc Kaitlyn pics gallery).

Monday, February 20

FINALLY!

Kaitlyn with her new shades. Well, I guess I owe Jake a big "thank you!". haha... I have been meaning to pull photos off my camera and put on there since like the first of January. Well, I did Jake a favor today and went and took photos of a truck for him. And FINALLY, I pulled the photos off... lol..

So Jake, thanks man! So I am updating our photo gallery with new miscellaneous photos and a few videos too.

Well, our office was closed today due to President's Day, and what a great day to be home. It was cloudy and cold. I still had to go in to town to go to class. My teacher told me, after looking at my newest program I wrote, that she was really impressed with how well I'm doing. So that is a big pick-me-up! haha..

Kaitlyn getting sleepy.Oh, and we also think Kaitlyn might actually be getting over her 24 hour (well, actually 7 day) virus. So now we just have to watch her new ear infection. We found that when we took her in Saturday to the doctors. But we didn't want to put her on antibiotics since her stool was still so bad. So we will be taking her back again in a week.

Tuesday, February 14

Happy Valentine's day!

Happy Valentine's Day everyone!!

Here is hoping that everyone is having a good day. We have been crazy busy lately, but maybe someday it will slow down.. haha..

Kaitlyn is sick again, this time it is throwing up and "other" stuff. She started it yesterday morning, and she is still sick. Randi's mom was awesome and kept her for us today. Randi is over getting her now to bring her home. However now Randi said she acts like she really doesn't feel well. So we have a long Valentine's night ahead of us. But that is ok. I have homework to do so I will be up a while anyone... haha..

I have some photos that we have taken of Kaitlyn over the past couple of weeks, and if I can get some free time I will try to pull them off the camera finally and get them on here for everyone to see. Anyway... Happy Valentine's Day!!

Homework done and kickin' back

Well, here it is... Monday night. The night after a very, very, VERY long day. Dinner is done, the baby got her bath, and I got my homework done, so I'm just kicking back enjoying some fabulous ramblings from a site that you have to check out: http://www.chucknorrisfacts.com/.

Now I must say, I know it seems a bit corny, but after you have spent the evening staring at C code and trying to get a math calculator to come to life, you need some pointless faults. But man, some of these are good! So I will share a few of the good'ens.

  • The chief export of Chuck Norris is pain.

  • Chuck Norris doesn't churn butter. He roundhouse kicks the cows and the butter comes straight out.

  • Ninjas want to grow up to be just like Chuck Norris. But usually they grow up just to be killed by Chuck Norris.

  • Since 1940, the year Chuck Norris was born, roundhouse-kick related deaths have increased 13,000 percent.

  • Chuck Norris once kicked a horse in the chin. Its decendants are known today as Giraffes.

  • The original title for Star Wars was "Skywalker: Texas Ranger". Starring Chuck Norris.

  • On the set of Walker Texas Ranger Chuck Norris brought a dying lamb back to life by nuzzling it with his beard. As the onlookers gathered, the lamb sprang to life. Chuck Norris then roundhouse kicked it, killing it instantly. This was just to prove that the good Chuck giveth, and the good Chuck, he taketh away.

Whew! Good stuff folks... Nothing like some mindless fun!

Something funny from school

Just something funny my professor in economics did Tuesday. He had been looking at Super Bowl ticket prices the night before, and was looking at stubhub.com and oklahomatickets.com. He couldn't remember which one of these sites he found this on, but it was one of those.

He wrote on the board:
Super Bowl, luxury suite, 40 yard line, fully catered. What is the price for 1 ticket?

Well, it is almost ridiculous, but someone (or some company) apparently purchased this because it isn't out there anymore.

The price is just insane though! And the price......................

$250,000.00!

Man, to have the money to blow that on 1 ticket to the Super Bowl, that would be nice!

Shoot, I was just looking at oklahomatickets.com and on there for crappy end zone tickets, upper level, they are wanting about $2,500!

Sunday, January 22

We got rain!

We couldn't believe our ears this morning! We were just waking up and thought we heard a familiar sound, but not one we have heard in a long time. I jumped up out of bed to see, yes, that is right, RAIN!! It is such a welcome relief! If only we could have got more rain. I think it managed to rain/sprinkle until around 10:00. We didn't get just a whole lot, but we got enough to put a damper on the fear of our yard going up in flames. We would have liked to have seen more of Oklahoma get rain, but I think it is everyone's thinking that what little we can get, where we can get it, helps more than nothing.

Also, just to let you all know, I have also started a Myspace account. Not really sure why, just wanted to try it out. I'm going to see if I can help hook some musicians in the southern part of Oklahoma up with dad and his group in Stillwater. If you want to check it out, my address there is http://www.myspace.com/jonathanmoffat.

Cool design for a MP3 player

I was cruising the Staples website the other night (one of my favorite things to do.. haha), and came across a pretty cool design for an MP3 player. It is by Creative, and it is the Muvo model. Here is a link to it:
Creative Muvo Mix MP3 player. The player comes apart, and you plug the USB portion into your computer to copy the files to it. AWESOME!

The price isn't bad either really, well under $100. I think this might be the one that I try to get here pretty soon. I think what I like about it too is that it can be used not only to store and play MP3 or WMA files, but that you can also use it as a USB flash drive to store documents or move files from computer to computer. Pretty cool looking deal to me. If I get one, I will let you all know if they are as good as they look..haha...

Thursday, January 12

2nd day update

Well, other than the fact that for some reason they now have 2 of the parking lots closed off, so I had to park illegally on the side of a street to go to class, it went ok.. haha.

It is crazy, there are 2 huge areas to park at, and they have both of them shut off. Hopefully they are going to find somewhere else for people to park at because at 11 in the morning, there is no where to park.

Anyway, econ seems to maybe be ok. The professor seems ok. Just seems like it is going to be a lot of reading.

He did give us 2 excellent online resources for finding government statistics that we will need during class, so that was pretty cool.

The day started pretty interesting. There we were, about 40 of us sitting in room # 202, waiting on the professor. Well, about 10 minutes past when the class was to start, and still no professor. So one of the girls behind me pulled her schedule out that she had just printed yesterday, and what do you know… It listed the class as being in room #218. So we went and checked, and sure enough, they had moved the class to a different room and didn’t bother to put a note up or email us or anything to tell us the class had changed. So it was pretty funny as all 40 of us got up and went down the hall to the new room. In all there are about 65 people in the class which is big for ECU. Hopefully some will get weeded out so we can get more interactive time instead of just lecture.

Anyway, school seems to probably be ok this semester. I will keep you updated as we get further into the semester.

Wednesday, January 11

1st day and still alive

Well, I did it. I made it through my first day of school after about 10 years. Wasn't sure if I would be able to bring myself to go, but I did and it seems ok.

My computer programming class actually seems like it is going to be pretty fun. I'm excited about getting into it more. Now tomorrow is my first day of econ, and well, not sure about that one! haha.. I took a similar class at OSU, and it wasn't very nice to me. But hopefully with 10 years of "real world" under my belt, maybe it will be a bit easier this time.

Well, we are all still alive and kicking down here. Kaitlyn's cough still hasn't gone away yet, but it seems that the asthma medication we have her on is helping her from loosing her breath when she coughs. So now we just need to get rid of the cough and we will be home free! lol..

I guess that is it for now. I will be back tomorrow night with a report from day 2. haha..

Monday, January 9

Kaitlyn's update

Well, Kaitlyn is still a bit under the weather, so I took her to the doctor's today. While we were there they went ahead and did the 15 month checkup (a couple weeks early).

She is weighing 21lbs 2.5 oz.
She is now 28.5" tall.

She is a growing little thing! And I can definitely tell she is gaining weight! haha.. She is getting heavy to carry around.

Then the doctor came in and we found out that we have an ear infection again. Just the right ear this time though, not both. So we have her back on medicine for that.

Then for the bad cough and wheezing sound, we are back on liquid albuterol. So he is still thinking that it is the asthma giving her problems. It is probably that on top of her nose running like crazy. He didn't say anything about allergies, but Randi and I are thinking that we may need to see about getting her tested for allergies, since both Randi and I have them and ours have been bad lately, and she sounds like us when we have allergy fits.

Anyway, that is it for now. I am still trying to tell myself that going back to school is going to be easy! haha.. I start back this Wednesday. Economics and computer programming. What a pair of classes! Luckily I have a computer programmer in my office, so I told him that he has a busy semester ahead of him! lol...

Well that is all for now. I have to get around and get to bed. This school boy needs some sleep!

Tuesday, January 3

Man what a movie!

Randi went and rented us some movies tonight and she did a great job! one that we watched tonight was HIDE AND SEEK.

I don't want to give anything away so I will just say it ROCKED! If you like truely scary movies then this one is for you!!
