Another week down and closer to school

Another week has gone by, a busy week, and now I find myself closer to heading back to college.  Seems like I get more nervous about it with each passing day.  But I can make it! haha...  I have enough people around here at work and home that claim to be able to help me through it, so I should be good.

Randi and I are still trying to get over our allergy attacks and am finally maybe seeing the end.  Randi was really bad off, but she got the doctor in time to get some antibiotics and stuff so she is feeling a lot better today. Kaitlyn is still battling her little cold, but she is even doing better too, so I guess that is a good deal.

We are heading to Stillwater tomorrow for Great-Grandma Moffat's Christmas and then Grandma Ann's birthday party.  So I should have some pics to post sometime next week.

Also here is a little "shout-out" to Grandpa Stan.  He has really been layed up with his medical stuff here lately.  Hope you are getting better dad!!  We all love you!

Jake's new CD

While up at Stillwater last weekend, my younger brother, Jake, gave me a copy of 6 songs that he has been working on. I thought I would put them out there for everyone to hear. I think they are good for simply writing them and then recording them in his bedroom.

So go to the Jonathan's Radio.Blog link under Music to the right.

You rock Jake!!

And that is Christmas

Well, we hope that everyone had a great Christmas, we sure did. It was great to get to see everyone and the food at all of our stops was great! We would like to also thank everyone again for the great gifts. Kaitlyn has been pretty much playing non-stop. Her only problem now is, what to play with! haha.. She just sort of goes from one thing to another. We will try to get some video of her enjoying her new toys

As for my dad, Stan... Well dad.. We hope you get better soon. We missed not having you out there with us snapping the great family shots that you do. I tried to keep up with everything, but I'm sure I missed some stuff. We love you dad, get better!

I now have all of our photos online for you to view, there are about 108. They are in our Photo Gallery, and they are the 3rd album.

Now we look forward to the new year and also my mom's (Ann's) birthday. See you all then!

New Pics

Wanted to let you all know that I have put some of the extra photos that we had made when we were doing our Christmas pics. Just for you viewing pleasure is all.

Cool CD

I wanted to send a "thank ya!" to Philmo for the awesome CD!! I guess with age, my musical tastes have started to vary to stuff I would have never dreamed of listening to, but as some of you might know, I have recently discovered how good jazz is.

CD coverWell, my good brother Phillip happened across a jazz "gem". It is Thelonious Monk Quartet with John Coltrane at Carnegie Hall (live). Man, that is some awesome sound!! If you haven't given jazz much of a chance, give this CD a try. It gets my 10 stars!

I am going to get it ripped again and I will put some of it on my MP3 player on here for you all to listen to. You have to be opened minded and just give a try. Just close your eyes, image that it 1957 and that you are in the glorious Carnegie Hall listening to 2 jazz greats nailing song after song.

Just wanted to share this with everyone, and Phillip, thanks sooooo much!!

New start

Well, Randi is 2 days into her new job, and she is really enjoying it. It is bookkeeping like what she did for the oil company after Sykes closed down. A lot of work with Quickbooks and stuff. She is working for J.B.'s Welding Inc., which does work for PowerLift. J.B. and the owner of PowerLift are brothers, so they are sort of in together in a big area of Ada.

Randi is really happy to find out that most of the people there have been there for 15+ years, so this is something she should be able to stick with for a long time.

Well, I'm hanging in there still, not really that much going on with me. Just trying to learn some new software that we are installing to build a newspaper website with at work. Other than that, just learning more about budgets and strategic plans.

We had a co-worker of mine take some family photos of us last weekend at the park in Ada. He did a really good job! I am going to try and put some of them online maybe tomorrow.

Kaitlyn is doing better. She still has a nasty cough at times. Her darn nose just won't stop running, but other than that, she is into everything and running faster than her daddy! haha.. She has been doing well at day care and getting to eat all sorts of new things. She likes it so much that the other night when Randi went to pick her up, she kept reaching for her teacher instead! haha..

Jonathan hard at work

Well, some people really work hard at work. That is a good thing.

Ping Pong MonsterWell, I like to "hardly work".. haha.. Actually, my boss, after blessing me with extra work like maintaining our department budget, creating and maintaining our strategic plan, and trying to manage all the projects, decided that she wanted to kick my butt at ping pong. Well, she did pretty quick, so then I thought, "hey, I got an idea"... I'll play with 2 paddles! haha... Probably not the best idea in the world, but I wasn't any worse.. lol...

Awesome new google program

Well, you know me, I am the techy guy. And while looking for stuff for work tonight, I came across an awesome new program by the high tech folks at Google. It is called Google Earth.

Check it out at http://earth.google.com.

You do need to have a high speed connection to use this. It utilizes the Google servers to pull the images and 3D graphics as well as it has Google search capabilities built in.

Watch as you install this though. It, like all Google toys, tries to install the Google toolbar. So if you don't want that, be sure to watch for the spot during installation that asks if you want to install it, and remove the checkmark.

Once you get it installed, try some cool searches. I was playing with ones like: Washington DC, Mount Rushmore, Dallas TX, Empire State Building, and Will Rogers World Airport.

Some new goings-ons

I wanted to let everyone know that I have, and am still, uploading all our old photos into our new photo gallery. I have a few new galleries so far. I have Kaitlyn's 1st b-day, her first trip to Stillwater after being born, and then photos from Austyn's 5th birthday. I have many more to go, but it is slow since I am trying to do as I get time.

Also, RANDI GOT A NEW JOB!! Her current job is just running her down and they are, and have been, very unprofessional with her. Luckily, she knows people who know people. So now, this next Monday, she starts as Bookkeeper for J.B.'s Welding (along with PowerLift) in Ada. She interviewed this afternoon and got the job, all at once! I'm so happy and very proud of her!

This job will ease some of the workplace stress she was under. No dress code, 8-5 instead of late nights, and the place is just really laid back. So she is really looking forward to starting.

Tuesday, December 6

Just rolling along...

Well, things are just sort of moving along here. Randi is still working, however, they are making it hard for her. More on that later. We had a great day in OKC last Saturday celebrating Randi's 29th b-day. Randi, Kaitlyn and I left our house at about 60 degrees, and hit Johnny Corino's in Norman at about 48 degrees. Bit a change for a little over an hour of driving! But we had a great lunch followed by some shopping at Crossroads Mall. And talk about a small world, we ran into Randi's cousin right off the bat, and then Randi's folks later that afternoon. After Crossroads, we hit Sooner Fashion Mall and did a bit more looking around and shopping. That was all followed up with the "traditional" dinner at El Chico's and a big birthday song! I actually tricked Randi and she didn't know anything about them singing to her, until they came out clapping and singing.

My boss has now made me jump in head first into the world of management. She handed over the department budgeting and expenditure tracking, and strategic planning creation and tracking, to add to my project management, and my own projects. haha...

So as if I wasn't stressed enough over going back to school!

Who, me?Kaitlyn is doing better, but making Randi and I turn grey early. She has been doing good during the day at day care, but she wakes up about 2 or 3 times each night for the past 5 nights. She just wakes up crying her heart out, so we get her up and give her a bottle. She will then go back to sleep, but you can bank on it only lasting about an hour or 2 and she is awake again.

Randi was looking though, and saw some teeth trying to come through in the back, so if those will just come in, maybe we can sleep again. haha..

Saturday, December 3

Happy Birthday Randi!

Happy 2# birthday Randi! haha.. I hope you have a great day, and that we get to eat some good food!

Happy birthday honey. Kaitlyn and I love you very much.

Thursday, December 1

I hit my goal!

I am so happy to let everyone know that I did it!! Just a short 15 weeks, and I have hit my first goal weight! Man it feels so good!

I have lost 26 lbs total so far. So now it continues... I have updated my weightloss chart with a new goal now, to get down another 10% or to 205. That one, I have a feeling, will take a while. I have already noticed what others have told me, that it is easy to loose at first then harder as you go. Well, that is for sure.

Anyway, I know it doesn't mean much to anyone but me, but I'm happy, so I thought I would share it.

Our new site!

Just wanted to let everyone know that we aren't going to post on this site anymore. We have a new home now!

Visit our new site at

http://www.jonandrandi.com

This is our new home on the web. We hope to add a lot of new stuff along with the new site to, things to use to pass the time.. haha..

Hanging around the house

Just hanging around the house today. We have a little, sick Kaitlyn. She has croup.

As of last night it looked like she was going to be doing better. Then this morning, as I was fixing breakfast, she decided to throw up most of what she ate from yesterday. Not spit-up, mind you. No, she tossed it. All over her and her high chair and the floor. It was pretty rough.

But I got her cleaned up and gave her a bath. She sure did eat good after that though! haha...

So now she has been asleep for about 2 hours. I think all the "work" she did this morning just wore her out. lol...

Tuesday, November 29

Welcome to our new home

Well, as you can see, we are moving again. This time to our own domain. This is awesome becuase it will let us keep our photo galleries up-to-date (we hope), and also give me room to play with cool add-ons to web pages I'm working on.

I finally broke down and decided to try this "WordPress" that dad and Phillip like. It is supprisingly easy to use, which is cool. But I don't like using things "out of the box", so I am going to be trying all sorts of hacks and add-ons to see what I come up with.

Tuesday, November 22

Jonathan the ECU Student

Well, I did it. I'm now officially enrolled for 6 hours starting in January. Not sure if I'm ready, but what the hey. I ended up with Principles and Problems of Economics and Computer Programming I. Both of which sounded good when my advisor was telling me about them, but then bad after I explained it to Randi.. haha..

No, I have enough smart people at my office, I should do fine! :)

I am really looking forward to it. Though it felt a bit weird walking around on campus and looking at all the young people.... And I'm sure I looked funny walking around in my tie and all.. lol..

Anyway, wish me luck, it will be an adventure!

PS:

Welcome home dad!!! We love you and are so happy you are doing good, now just keep it up. ;)

Wednesday, November 16

I AM IN!!!

I just got word today that I have been accepted to attend East Central University in Ada. It isn't OSU, but it will still be a degree that I need and want. So I am very excited. I am now waiting to be assigned an advisor so I can hurry and get enrolled for January.

I have turned in my financial aid paperwork, so I'm waiting on a response on that still. Though I'm only looking at starting with about 6 hours for now. My work will reimburse me for that many hours plus books, so I have to start small. I am thinking of doing some online courses if available and also maybe picking up some summer sessions. Doing all that, I might actually get this degree before I turn 50! haha...

My boss wants me to hurry because she wants me to also get my masters.. haha!! I told her we will just have to see about that... :)

Thursday, November 10

Trick or treat

Even though she didn't get to go out and get candy, that didn't mean that she didn't get dressed up. Kaitlyn got an OSU cheerleader outfit for her birthday and it made a wonderful Halloween costume. Not to mention that Kaitlyn put the perfect pose on for the picture!

Birthday Girl!

Our little girl is getting older! On the 22nd of October we celebrated her 1st birthday (Oct. 23). Happy b-day baby!

Kaitlyn's birthday cake. They did a great job on it.

The birthday girl trying to decide if she really wants to jump into that sugar rush.

Some new pics of Kaitlyn

Just going through some of the recent pics of Kaitlyn. Just a natural funny girl at work. Makes daddy proud! haha..

Kaitlyn doing some improv.

I guess here she is talking to her manager.

Where is Kaitlyn?

There she is!!

Almost b-day boy

Well, it is coming up quick and in a hurry, and I can't do anything about it. The big 3-0. That is right, I've been cruising around this world for almost 30 years now. And after all that time, I'm doing it with a wife and a little girl, so that is just awesome.

Not to mention I work with a great group of folks in my department at work. They are so awesome to me, they took me to Polo's the other day for lunch just to make me look stupid.. They seem to love that! haha... Take a glimpse:

This is our Sr. Graphic Designer's "too much time on his hands" project.

Cool hair girl

Check out this gal. She is stylin'!

Cold weather

Well, I'm enjoying the start of my vacation by sitting around the house waiting on repairmen to come fix our central air unit and our dryer. So far one is about 2 hours late.. haha..

I was going through some photos on my camera and found one I took of Kaitly and Randi when it got cold this past week. Grandma Moffat, take a look at what your grand-daughter has on her head!

My "techy" bull

Well, as those of you who know me know, I love tech gadgets and stuff. Well, now that I finally came into the times and have cable internet, I have been finding all the joys that come with that! haha..

If you love music, then keep reading!

First, a page I just found tonight, http://www.danceage.com/. This site is awesome! Depending on the artist, you can listen to a song or song(s) of artists for free on their site. You can also see some of the latest videos, full length!, for free. (That requires installing an AOL active X control though, so just do this at your own risk).

Now, for listening... How many of you have heard of Winamp? Well, if you haven't, CHECK IT OUT!! www.winamp.com. Download the free player, and get ready to hear "high-defenition" radio! You can listen to online radio stations that sound just like a CD in your computer, that clear and crisp! Plus, most of the stations are advertisement free channels.

Winamp will let you listen to various Shoutcast radio stations. Here is how you find this little jewel... Once you have the player installed (it will require a reboot), start it up, then right click on the face of the player and select the option for Media Library (you can also press ALT + L). There will be a window pop up with a left hand column and a right hand column. In the left side, scroll down until you see Shoutcast Radio, click that. Now, in the right side, at the top, you can select a music genre or search for something specific.

Since I'm a classic rock man, I recommend looking for the radio station named Radio Free Colorado. Now for another secret. When you search for "Radio Free Colorado", it will find 2 different items. If you will scroll across the bottom of the right hand side, there should be a column called Bitrate. You want to double click on the line item with the highest here. So right now, I have clicked on the line with a 320 bitrate versus the other at 64 bitrate. The higher the bitrate, the clearer the sound.

Now, I have also been spreading my musical listening ability (since I'm almost 30, figured it was about time), and I have been listening to some jazz. A good station for jazz that I like is (just copy what I have here and paste it, other wise you will not find it) S K Y . F M

There is a space between each of the letters and the "dot". They have a channel called S K Y . F M - Absolutely Smooth Jazz. Excellent channel I must say.

I will leave you with this. A little jewel for classic movie lovers. You can watch some real b&w classics, sci-fi and horror at www.americafree.tv. All you need is QuickTime version 6 or higher (version 7 plays the best, but it isn't required). To watch them, just click on the letters "QT" under the Unicast column.

Anyway, just some tech stuff, if you have questions, contact my dad!! haha... I will share more as I find it.... Have fun music lovers!

Festival

Well, I got to start doing my part of covering the Chickasaw Nation's Annual Festival. Being that I work in Web Development for them, we are covering each day and each event and displaying those photos on their website. You can see what has been going on so far by going to our site at www.chickasaw.net. Follow the links for the Photo Gallery and you will find them.

It is a fun deal to go to, not to mention it is nice to get out of the office occasionally! haha..

This past weekend

We got to go to Stillwater this past weekend, and we had a blast! It was great to see everyone, and there was some great food! (as there always is!). Thanks again mom and dad...

I pulled a few pictures from the weekend, so enjoy!

This is my Grandma Moffat with my niece Madison.

What goes around...

Well, things are staying constant around here, busy busy busy... Kaitlyn seems to be getting a bit better, but she has a nasty sounding cough we are having to watch. Randi ended up catching Kaitlyn's eye infection, but that seems to be clearing up as well. Now, I'm hoping it is just allergies, but my head is all stopped up and my throat is sore.. Man, we just can't win this battle! haha.. The guys at work were telling me that it is because I have lost weight, so I'm getting sick, but well... I don't think so.

Well, we have our festival at work next week, so it looks like at least 4 or 5 days that I get to spend driving back and forth from here to Tishomingo, about 50 minutes or so 1 way. That will be a long week. The entire festival last 8 days this year. They are expecting an even larger crowd than they had last year. So we should have plenty of things to take photos of! haha..

I registered to take a course at Stanford University today too!! Well, it is actually a 3 day workshop, but hey, it is at the Stanford University campus in CA!! So that works for me. It is a workshop for web professionals. They are having speakers from Yahoo, PC Magazine, the group that does the Webby Awards, and a dozen or so "famous" web design firms. It is an "intensive 3-days" of listening to people!! haha.. But I think it will be cool. Not sure if I am going, but I registered. This is a deal where you register, and then they will go through all the registered people and select the group that they will actually invite to attend. So I have my fingers crossed since we are a government.

Back from the Doctors

Well, Kaitlyn has good reason for not feeling well, and man does day care kick your butt!

Kaitlyn has an ear infection in both ears and her eyes are contagious. The doctor said she can't go back to day care, so Randi is taking off to take her home. Randi's folks have agreed to keep her overnight tonight and tomorrow though, so that will be a big help. Hopefully we will get her over this quick. Anyway, so goes it in my world.

Just an update

Well, it seems as though the day care system is finding ways to "break us in" real good. It seems that for the 2nd time now Kaitlyn is sick. But this time, I think Randi and I have caught it too.

I am hoping that Randi and I just have a bad head cold, but we Randi is taking Kaitlyn to the doctor this morning. She hasn't ran much of a fever or anything, but her head is real stopped up and she just acts like she isn't feeling well.

I will post more after Randi gets her into the doctors.

Friday, September 9

Busy busy

Well, we are coming up on the end of the fiscal year at my work, so it is rush-rush to get our projects caught up. I am currently (well, just started actually) a site for a newspaper, and it is turning out to be a lot more difficult than we thought. It is going to mean some more working late and weekends again (possibly, but hopefully not). This project has to be done by the end of September, so it is one of our top priority projects.

We are also working to find another office to move to since we are growing. We just hired another employee for our department and there are at least 2 other positions that we are going to fill during our next year, so we are going to overflow from or current location.

On top of aaaaallllllll that, the last week of September is our big 8 day festival. So that week will be full of driving back and forth to Tishomingo and Ada and then putting off my projects to get the photos that we take online. So that week will take a big toll on me I think. Randi is excited though because the last Saturday night of the week there is a rodeo, and since I will be there taking photos, Randi is going to go too.

The only good I see from all of this is that I'm going to get another week of vacation out of the deal, so that is really cool! I'm scheduled to get the week off that is between my (30th) birthday and Kaitlyn's first birthday. So that way I can help get things ready for that why Randi is working (and catch up on some much needed sleep!).

Randi and I went tonight to do some b-day shopping for her and go ahead and get them on layaway to make it easier when the big day gets here. We got her some cool stuff, so I think she will be happy.. haha.. I know daddy will be happy once he gets to play with her toys!

Well, I miss all of you and hopefully we will get to see you all soon.

Monday, September 5

New movies added

This is a shot of Randi and Kaitlyn on their "first days". Randi was off to work and Kaitlyn was off to her new day care. So far both of them really like their new places. Kaitlyn took a little while to get adjusted but she is doing good now. And Randi's work took some time to get adjusted to her, but it is all going smooth now and she is really enjoying it.

Well, since my family hasn't had a chance to see Kaitlyn lately, I decided to shoot some video of her getting around. I did these last night. Kaitlyn was in one of her Ms. Energy modes and was walking from one place to another and getting up all on her own without using any help from chairs and stuff.

She is getting so big. Randi and I were talking yesterday that it is hard to believe that she will be 1 year old next month. We are in the process of trying to decide the logistics of her party. I am lucky enough to get the week before her birthday off since have so much vacation time. So I think I will get to do some of the getting ready for that. Anyway, will keep you all posted.

In the mean time, Kaitlyn's videos are accessible from the link on the left hand side of the page that reads "All of our Videos" under the Photo Galleries heading. Or, for people like me that are impatient, you can click here. They are the last 2 on the page.

Some Good News to Report

Well......for those of you who have not heard, I got a JOB!!! Yea!! I am really excited. I will be working for an eye doctor in Ada as the Office Manager. Tomorrow is my first day, so I will report back tomorrow on if I still like it. Tomorrow is also the first day of Kaitlyn going to Daycare. I don't know how we are going to cope with this. I think she will be fine, but I don't know about me. (haha.) So, no more sleeping in for me. It is up with the chickens every morning now. That is all for now.I will report back tomorrow on how all our first days went.

Jonathan's Vacation Week

Jonathan, Kaitlyn and I went and spent a couple of days down at Lake Texoma with my parents. Above is a picture of the lake and boat from our campsite. We had a great time. The weather was great and the lake was not too bumpy. Kaitlyn enjoyed getting to ride in the boat. It didn't seem to bother her at all that we were going across the water and hitting some wakes. She actually fell asleep every time we went out in the boat. We got to go to the "Islands" on the lake and swim. The water was down so far that we got about 75 feet away from the boat and the water was only to our waists. I will get some more pictures of us at the lake when mom gets home. (She took the pics of Kaitlyn while we were in the boat). And yes, for those of you who have not heard, I went for a job interview on Thursday. I have to go back for a panel interview with them sometime next week. So hopefully, I will be getting back to work soon. I got a call today from the Ford house here in Ada and I have an interview with them on Tuesday. So, either job would be good for me right now. So everyone keep their fingers crossed that I get a job. Don't get me wrong, I love staying home with Kaitlyn and am glad that I have gotten to this long. But, it is time to go back to work and get her in daycare so she will be used to other kids. I am going to hate it, but I know that she needs to be around other kids her age. We had a good time Friday night, again getting to see the family. We had some good food and good conversation. Thank you Stan and Ann for dinner!! We appreciate it!! Well, Jonathan is dreading going back to work on Monday. So, I am sure tomorrow is going to be a wonderful day. Anyway, hope everyone has a great weekend. And yes Heather, I see that you beat me by updating yours first. But.....we both updated ours before your dad did. Gotcha Stan!!

Well, Jonathan started out his vacation in Stillwater on Sunday. We had a good time seeing everybody. It's amazing how fast the kids grow when you don't see them for a few weeks. We had a great time, Thanks you guys for everything!!

Kaitlyn in "Harry Potter" Glasses

Mom and I went to Wal-Mart yesterday and they were promoting "Harry Potter". They gave us a pair of these glasses for Kaitlyn. Everyone there thought Kaitlyn was so cute in them. So, we just had to take some pictures of her in them. We also went to Falls Creek for the evening services and had a great time. They have really made a lot of changes there and have gotten a new tabernacle as well.

Sunday, July 10

Busy Weekend

We had a very busy weekend. Friday night Kaitlyn went and spent some time with her Great Grandma Andrews and her Mamaw while Jonathan and I went to my 10 year high school reunion. We had a great time. We started out at the high school and planted a tree in memory of our classmate that died this last year. We then got a tour of the new Cougar Activity Center, which was awesome. We went out to eat with a bunch of my classmates and then finished the night at th Quality Inn around the pool socializing and having some drinks. Saturday, started early. I went into Ada and had lunch with some of my friends and then came home and got Kaitlyn and we went to the family picnic held at a friends ranch. The kids got to swim and we all got to talk in a more relaxed environment. Saturday night, Jonathan stayed home and took care of Kaitlyn while I went to the party at the Country Club. I had a great time seeing everyone that came. It was great to see how people have changed that I hadn't seen in 10 years. So, today we are just sitting and relaxing and catching up on some sleep. Hope everyone had a great weekend.

Great Holiday Weekend

We had a great holiday weekend. We spent the day at some friends house and had some great food and great conversation. Jonathan even played some horseshoes. Kaitlyn took a dip in the swimming pool with her cousin Ashton, even though the water was a bit chilly from all the rain. Then we went into Ada and watched some fireworks, which weren't the greatest. But Kaitlyn didn't seem to mind them. I will get some pictures online later.

Sunday, June 26

Kaitlyn modeling Bonnet Hat made by Mamaw

We had a great weekend. Saturday we went to OKC and celebrated Jonathan's Grandma Moffat's Birthday and his Great Aunt Fannie's Birthday. We had a great time and had some great food. We got to see some family that we don't always get to see. It was great. Kaitlyn showed the "Boys" that she's not gonna put up with their antics as she gets older. Check out the link to our pictures and our videos for NEW updated pictures and videos. Have a great day!

Took Kaitlyn to the Dr. Today

Well, I took Kaitlyn back to the Doctor today. I wanted her doctor to see her since he wasn't in the last time she got sick. She has been coughing a little, so I wanted him to check her to make sure the bronchittis wasn't back. He checked her and said that she has a little asthma. So, he gave me some liquid albuterol to give her for it and told me to watch it. So, we are not too thrilled to hear that. Hopefully, she will grow out of it like I did. But, that is all for now. Had a great time this weekend getting to see Jon's family and celebrating Jake's 23rd birthday. I figured I would put something online since Stan hasn't yet. (HAHA...just kidding Stan)!

Friday, June 10

Doctor's Update

Well, I took Kaitlyn back to the Doctor this AM because she got a little splotchy rash on her tummy and back and face yesterday. They said that it wasn't from the antibiotic that they gave her. So, he told me that I didn't have to give her the antibiotic any more because she sounded better. Her lungs sounded clear and she was not running a fever. So now we are just battling diarrhea right now. So, she is better for now..we are gonna watch her for a couple of days to make sure it doesn't come back.

Tuesday, June 7

We had a busy weekend. Friday we went to the Ada Relay for Life. We had a good time. The entertaiment was very good. I think Kaitlyn even enjoyed it. We were out until about midnight, way past Kaitlyn's bedtime. Saturday night, Kaitlyn started running a low fever and ran it all day Sunday. It got a little high on Sunday night, and Jonathan and I were a little scared and really didn't know what to do (being new parents and all). So Monday morning I took her in to see a doctor and she had bronchitis. So he gave her some antibiotics to take to keep it from turning into pneumonia. At the doctor's visit, they weighed her, and she weighed 16lbs, 2oz. She is getting so big. But she seems to be feeling a little better today, although she is having some symptoms from the antibiotics. Hopefully, we can get her back to 100% before to long.

Here is a side view. You can really see how tall her hair is. It looks like daddy scared her!!

Here is another.

I was playing with Kaitlyn's hair the other day and decided to try a spiked look. What do ya think, is it her? I think so!

Here is another pic of Kaitlyn sitting in the water. She liked to slap the water and kick her feet in it.

Here is a pic of Kaitlyn at the lake. As you can see, she looks like she is enjoying herself.

Sorry it has been so long since we have posted on here. Jonathan has been busy working and I have been busy taking care of Kaitlyn. Kaitlyn and I went last week and spent the night with my parents down at the lake. We had a great time, and Kaitlyn really liked the water. I have pictures that I will put on here later. We had a great time Saturday, seeing Jonathan's family. The three of us went to Davis Monday to Camp Classen. Jonathan's work was having Camp Survivor down there. They had different divisions within the Chickasaw Nation competing in a relay race. It was pretty fun. We all had a good time. I will try to get some pictures put on of that so you all can see what all they had to do. Kaitlyn and I are just sitting around the house, trying to stay cool and get some rest. We are going to have a busy weekend. Have 2 birthdays this weekend to attend. Well, that is all for now, I will get more on here when I get those pics.

We got a couple new movies available to view. They are pretty good. I'm still playing with my software that came with my camera for movies. You can do some cool stuff, just never have messed with it before. You can view Kaitlyn waving or Kaitlyn looking at mom in a mirror.

I DID IT!! haha... I have a video online finally. I took this one the other night when Randi was feeding Kaitlyn. I have been trying to get a good video, and either the lighting is terrible or the sound is too loud or something. So this one I managed to get to look and sound decent. Hope you all enjoy it! I guess you all might like the link, huh??? Well, you can locate it over on the right side of the page under the heading "Photo Galleries" or you can click here. OH... :) Thanks to Grandpa Moffat for the space on his server for the movie... hehe... :) Thanks dad!!

Man!! I think Kaitlyn knew she was fixing to get some real food!! Look at those eyes... haha

"Uh, actually, I take it back... That isn't as good as I thought it would be"... haha.. I think she was having 2nd thoughts here.. haha...

Kaitlyn's Doctor Update

We took Kaitlyn to the doctor today for her 6 month checkup. It is hard to believe that she is already 6 months old. Seems like just yesterday we were bringing her home. The doctor said that he can find nothing wrong with her and she is doing great. She weighed 15 lbs. 5 oz and was 26 1/4" long. He said that we could go ahead and start her on some cereal and vegetables and some juice. So, I am sure that we will have some real cute pictures to put on here of her first taste of food.

Here is another picture of Kaitlyn in her new "summer" outfit.

Here is Kaitlyn Modeling her new summer outfit. Her legs are almost too short to tell those are capris.

Here is a picture of Kaitlyn and Randi at the Children's Fair held by the Chickasaw Nation. She is being greeted by the Crash Test Dummies. Luckily, she did not cry when they played with her.

Easter pics online!

This pic is from Randi's folks Easter day. Kaitlyn did really good all day and didn't cry during church, so we were happy. She even did some easter egg hunting with some of the bigger kids and found some eggs! The basket she is sitting next to was made by her mamaw Vicki.

You can see these pictures and much more by going to the last link on the right under Photo Galleries. All of the Easter weekend pictures are together in one gallery.

I'm going to try my hardest to get back to putting pictures and postings more often. And if I don't, then get after me!! haha... Later!

This shot is from my folks house in Stillwater. You can just tell she KNOWS how pretty she is. This dress would have been a little better though, had it not been FREEZING cold during the Easter weekend... lol...

This, of course, is one of my favorites.. haha.. As you can see, we think that Kaitlyn is at the early stages of teething. She drools more than a starved dog looking at a steak! haha.. But we don't care. She still hasn't figured out what that stuff around my mouth is yet.. lol... She just knows it tickles her cheek when I give her a kiss.

Oh my gosh!! I have updated my page! lol...

I know it has been a while, so I figured I better get back on here and get some updated photos out for all to see. Work has been keeping me swamped, so that is why it has been so long. Anyway, had a good Easter, and I hope everyone else did as well. So here are a couple of funny pictures and some from the Easter parties we attended. Enjoy!

This picture I loved. We were sitting around wondering what Kaitlyn would look like with a lot of hair. Instead, we ended up with Kaitlyn with like a 50's hair style. haha...

Doctor's Update

Well Kaitlyn went to the doctor last Friday for a check up. She wasn't feeling too swell, and it was close enough to her 4 months appointment, so they did her up all at once.

The report on her is that she is still a growing healthy little girl.. haha.. We had no clue she was getting bigger! lol.. And the new results are..........

02/04/05

Weight: 12lb 7oz

Length: 23 inches

I had her at about 14lbs and around 24 inches, so I was sort of close, but I think Randi's guess was even closer than that.

Tonight during the Super Bowl, she was really attentive and was just laughing and playing with one of her toys. We noticed today that she is starting to grab at things a lot more, so we figure she is working on that hand-eye coordination.

Anyway, I will get some more pictures of her up soon. Later!

The Moffat Family vs. The Raccoon

So our Saturday evening. Well, let's just say that I have bad luck with vehicles and animals.

On our way home from Stillwater Saturday night, we (actually I, Jonathan), decided to take on a full grown raccoon in the middle of the road, head-on. Needless to say, I won the fight, but lost the battle.

It managed to bust the ground effects on Randi's car up really good, and I put the raccoon into the middle of the radiator. Her radiator on her new car is now in the shape of the letter 'C'.

So after the car quit running on a back road into Roff (at about midnight), Randi's folks came to the rescue and got us home. And the good folks at Saturn got her car towed that night for free, so they rock! So now it is just a matter to see what sort of bill I racked up!

The funny part about it, is I keep thinking back to all those times farming for my Grandpa and Grandma Moffat and all the equipment I broke. Man, I have never been that good behind the wheel of anything, huh?? haha.. I guess I was lucky that they let me help them as long as I did!

But as you can see from these 3 pics. All of us made it home healthy and ok. Just another exciting trip to Stillwater. haha....

Just another shot of happy Kaitlyn. She was just going and blowing all morning. You would have thought that Saturday night didn't even happen. She acted like it was Christmas all over again.. lol...

Well, after my exciting Saturday night, this was Kaitlyn waking up Sunday morning, just all grins (and her dad's morning hair). haha..
